Is there any significant difference in quality between CVT and Tepui?

CVT if you want to wait for months. Tepui if you want it before your next big trip .



JK (kinda). The rain fly design on cvt is different now and a bigger frame is standard. Pretty sure tepui is still using the dinky frame but Jerry or Adam will probably correct me if I am wrong. Otherwise...not a huge difference.

 

All I will say is that the waiting has to do with the fact that CVT does the huge GB every year.

No idea how sales numbers compare though

I missed the GB. 30% is without question a nice discount. Unfortunately CVT doesn't appear to have a dealer in Canada, Tepui does. I am also not yet sure if I want to wait until next year.

 

Haven't had time to mess with it.

 

Didn't he promise all tents to ship by the end of may? Starting to sound like the elite gb .

An RTT will mount up fine on a pair of bed bars? (i.e. two is enough?)

I'm sure he said a certain time frame but don't forget he now has container issues. those can be a big set back also to have so many different tents. shit happens.

 

Don't buy CVT. They leak and come dented!!! Just look at Brents tent.


Alright, I am done. Taking the dog for a walk . Either company is a good choice. Go for the best deal and what suits your needs. Give each a call and make your own choice on which is best

 

If you look through the thread; you'll pretty much conclude there isn't any difference. Pick the one you like and you're set.

 

I'm the only one that has had one leak, so it's probably user error...

As for the dents, that's FedEx's fault. They suck. I could have easily sent it back, but they didn't effect the usability of the tent as they were just on the bottom that you never see anyways.

Very true.

But, like everybody else is saying. Don't really know of any differences and of course whatever you have is what you're going to promote if you've never owned both.
