Just bend the tent window rods to fit around the awning using the existing tent frame holes, I have a similar setup and this solution works fine.

Also pointed out by @Bruce988jl , smoking sale on this LED lantern. Amazon's deal of the day. I have one. Just bought another today. Have 2 years using these and they get fantastic battery life. We've used ours in real crappy weather and the cold with zero issues.

My favorite feature is the built in clip. It is the perfect size to clip into a d-ring under the tent. At night we leave it on the red mode and it is mild enough to ot disturb company but bright enough to use the woods or navigate around the area

Do you by chance have pictures of yours all setup? I wonder if I bed like a 22.5-45 angle like an inch or so out of the hole in the base, if they would still hold plenty of tension on the window

Just ordered a set of sumo springs. Hopefully this will solve any sagging issues. B2769C22-7344-4733-A421-E27A6587F969.jpg

I don’t have a great image of it, but you can see that I have an awning and PVC water tank on two sides. I just bent the rods around the obstructions to get the windows open.

Bummed I missed out on this lightening deal.

Anyone have suggestions on a good lantern with a built in clip for hanging in an rtt? Just broke the one I had. I suppose I could go for the one posted above, just figured I’d see if there were any other recommendations.

If it's still at $36 it's still worth it.

I truly believe the majority of the tents are made in the same factory.

Similar to the high-end mountain bike industry

Just found one on eBay for $25. Believe I bought the last one at that price though.

I bought one years ago but never took it out of the package. Still sitting in my garage.

When using my tent in the cold I also put a blue foam roll-up mat under the mattress for extra insulation. Makes a huge difference. That aluminum tent floor zaps heat really fast.

Anyone thoughts on the Smittybilt Overlander Tent? I'm balling on a budget, and cant be dropping 1500-1800 on a CVT. I can get the Smitty for $650 out the door at 4WP right now

how are you getting it for 650? I paid 685 delivered to my house.

Also I've only opened it up outside once since I got it beginning of november so I'd say it's good enough for most anyone.

I know a couple guys running the Smitty tents they get the job done.. I feel like the fly is a little flimsy compared to tepui or CVT, but they do the job. Haven't heard any complaints
