I wouldn't unless you are just getting into tenting. I had one and sent it back on warranty.used the money and found a used tepui.

This has probably already been discussed, but anyone have a foam sleeping pad they can suggest for an rtt? I have a CVT Mt Rainier extended. The pad it comes with isn’t terrible, however, it wouldn’t hurt to add a little extra comfort for the wife.

I'm considering the exact same thing. So far I have read about guys throwing a +/- 2" of memory foam as a topper. I would like to hear from guys that have actually done this.

You can get a queen size and just cut the notches out where it folds like the factory mat does

Ive got a 1.5" memory foam topper in mine that I picked up from sears on their sale. Eventually I'll go to a latex one since memory foam holds moisture and doesn't do well in cold temps. It gets really stiff. I used some 1" webbing to tie the mattress and topper together so the topper opens up with the mattress.

I've got the tent, awning, and annex. I haven't gotten around to hooking up the annex yet (it's actually still in the box) and I'm going to have to figure out a way to mount the awning. My current rack geometry and the base of the tent are creating clearance issues that I'll need to get resolved.
I like the tent. It's not bad, has some good features, and doesn't have a high price point for somebody getting into RTTs to see if they like it. I've got several ideas for some mods after using it a few times, and it appears that they have evolved the design from some of the previous problems noted.

Got the Teton 0* double bag, tried it out last night. With the original foam pad and the bag I was comfortable in gym shorts and a t shirt with temps in the 30s. I think one of the foam mattress toppers would add some insulation so that it could be comfortable closer to where the bag is actually rated. I have one, but I'm not sure I would be able to have the mattress pad and the bag in the tent and get it closed and stowed.

With the Teton bag pushed all the way forward to the head end of the tent it comes to almost the full length of the tent floor at the entrance.

Bag folded over with a woobie inside, compression bungees in an X pattern. This was the first time I tried this and the first time I had the bag in the tent. Not sure if it helped or not (versus just having the bungees going laterally across the tent). It was much more difficult to get the tent stowed this morning with the bag in it. I have a Zinus 1.5" memory foam pad that I was planning on using, but I'm not sure I am going to be able to have that in there too and still get the tent stowed.

I'm hoping to get a junction box wired in that will go up in the tent and is wired directly to the battery. That's one thing that is definitely missing for running the LED strip and having a way to charge some electronics in the tent.

Got my new CVT extended Shasta yesterday and no way could I get the Teton 0* in there with it. So I’ll just have to use the stuff sack.

After getting the Teton out of the stuff sack I almost see the sack as a disposable item. I do not want to even try to get that back in there.

I have no issues getting my Teton queen size back in the bag. Stuff - turn - stuff - profit.

Picked up an early Xmas present on Friday. Can't wait to put it to use. Might go camp out over New Years somewhere to test it.

Their tents are pretty badass, I'll be upgrading to that tent whenever my current tent wears out.

Did you get the theft prevention mounts as well?
