^ It's a cheap investment to avoid a potentially pricey fix.

On that note is anyone running fiberglass bedsides with a RTT setup?

For the Exped, this is truly a full replacement right? It's not a mattress topper?

Yes, both roof rack and bed rack is frontrunner

I have the kovea heater and also a buddy heater. Hopefully that’ll be enough haha

How are you liking your 23Zero? I have a LE discount code for the 4+ person Byron w/ 6.5ft awning for just under 2k w/shipping which beats out a comparable CVT for that size when those price tags are close to 3k for just RTT.

I will chime in on this as I have a 23Zero Litchfield.

So far, I love mine, easy setup, the build quality is really good and the addition of the extra features of it that others are more for is really nice. I posted some pictures of it setup and the interior in this thread.

But really my only complaint with it so far as been that it is too low on my bed rack so I have yet to use the annex with it.

Other than that, I sleep really well in it and have plenty of space.

I paid 2k shipped with lift gate. I like it so far but haven’t had time to Camp in it yet. :pout: It was between them and CVT. The 23 Zero is shorter and I have a short bed so it doesn’t hang over tailgate very much.

    Yep!

    Thanks!

I’ve been running mine on fiberglass bedsides for almost two years. The tent has been on for just about that entire time. Some off road trips and there. Zero issues so far. I did modify my bed rack though. Nothing too major. I definitely wouldn’t run a normal bedrack set on the bedsides. I did that for a bit and you could see the whole thing shifting around on bumps.

Good to know. Thanks for the input! I think Pioneer seems like a good fit for me. I don't have any plans to camp in any extreme weather (yet) I have camped when it started raining with my ground tent and it held up fine. I figured the RTT would be built a little better.

Check out @ragofabrication I just put some on my truck for anticipation of getting my RTT soon and don't regret one bit. The "blemished" models they do are as good as the new ones and are under $100.Come powder coated and stainless steel so no rust issues at all. For $100 why not have peace of mind?

Sorry if this has already been covered but a search didn't turn anything up...

I'm considering making the move to an RTT and looking at going with a mid-height rack. Is anyone running a short bed rack on a long bed? Does it work okay?

Also anyone know anything about the Tuff Stuff bed rack? The price is right and looks pretty solid, plus free shipping.

    Any input is appreciated!

It most definitely is built better. I’ve put mine through insane wind storms in the desert and heavy rain down at the beach. Never had any issues. We stayed completely dry in the rain while everyone else was starting to have issues (we had the only rtt).
