Sunday at 5am, i woke up to deliver the Roofnest to the buyer. When i woke up, i saw I had a Paypal balance, so i placed an order on Amazon for the automatic hardshell FSR M49 :D:D:D

Somehow it was cheaper than ordering through the FSR website. And it was in stock. Lets just see if Amazon actually delivers and if its not damaged

So, this is a Roofnest Eagle. The 3 person tent, on a 3rd gen short bed.

Its not horribly long. But might be an issue if you have a higher swingout. Or if you want to put it higher, and hang it over the cab.

@Blackout14 had his CVT hardshell (on a long bed) on his cap/prinsu but had it hanging over the front, so he could open the cap glass.

Or another picture where you can put it on the cab? Id think that would look funky

The tent was not included in prime. But that makes sense

Dynatrac ProRock 60 Rear Axle, that is important enough.
Got a question for everyone here and looking for some input.

I am going to be getting a Tilting Utility Trailer from my grandparents this weekend and I am wanting to try and build a rack system for my RTT but have it to where I can remove it if needed so my grandparents can still use it.

The trailer will be used to just haul the RTT to the Lone Star Toyota Jamboree, then setup the RTT for the event, and then take it back home. 45 minute drive on the highway and a brief off highway drive to camp. Pretty much so that I don't have to setup and take down the RTT every day during the event and so that I can also have the Annex setup as well throughout.

This is the type of trailer I will be getting. I am pretty sure it is a 5x9 or so.

    listing_pic_1437288_1504186347.jpg

My plan is to do something similar to this in the way it attaches to the trailer in a way, but with a support plate on the deck of the trailer for the feet that it bolts too as well.

    TrailerPlans.jpg

But have it built similar to this in that it bolts together so that I could remove it as needed and store it. I like this design and through some research on this image I came across this thread https://tventuring.com/trailerforum/thread-111.html and then this site... https://compact-camping-concepts-2.myshopify.com/... so hell. I may just go that route and buy this kit since it looks pretty well built instead of trying to build my own kit.

    bf2b6c6b090b52cd53ae76ad7a08cf84--no-weld-roof-rack-roof-top-tent.jpg

Any qualms on this or suggestions? I am looking for total height to be high enough for the Annex to be functional, but if it needs to be shorter, it can be, but since I have an overhang on my RTT over the ladder, it really can't be too short on the trailer.

how that rtt is setup makes it completely worthless....guy just paid 1k for a tent that sits 2ft off the ground.

having some other way to support this would be ideal, i wouldnt trust a rtt plus a few people in a tent with this method...

ideally any height where the rtt is off the ground enough with a few inches of headroom to spare is good for use of the annex/awning.

Had mine on the cab with a softtoper on the back. No real major issues, though it felt a little sketchy with some headwind heading west from Utah.

Man it's going to be a trip going back to a Rain fly and taking the winter cover off. I'm looking forward to it though. Really satisfied with that weather cover . Would buy it again without hesitation
