Yep. It can still blow over if you have a sail like that tent catching wind.

Seems like their customers have generally been happy. Currently running a CVT, but I’m considering changing over to a hardshell.

    Which model do you have?

I have the skycamp2. I knew I wanted a hard shell and was looking at the two person models. Kids were supposed to sleep in the truck bed but my wife said she wanted us all together. That was fine with me because I really liked the ikamper but didn’t think she would go for the price.

It is a one minute set up and two minute breakdown. We do a lot of dispersed camping and with kids that is huge.

Awesome! Yeah I’ve been looking at the Skycamp2. Have a picture of your setup?

Here are a couple. None of the interior but it’s spacious.

Yes, I was doing a test just to make sure everything works before heading out with the family. Quite roomy and easy to setup.

As Brett pulled into line at the top of the hill, I jogged back down to my truck - excited as usual when the trail requires a bit of attention. And, like the first three guys, I made it up unscathed - though I did stall once, "A little too trusting of the low gears, like Frank." Laughed Monte.

The low gears definitely are nice! :D

Beautiful rig. My only concern is the length. Id’d probably have to get a cab-high bedrack because the RCI rack I’m currently using is mid-height. How much do you think the tent would hang off the back end? I, too, have a long bed.

If you have a long bed you a far better off with that issue vs. the short bed.
Sorry, I said Skycamp2 when actually I think it is just the "skycamp", either way it is the one that sleeps 4 people.
If I remember correctly it is 84" which puts it 1' longer than our bed. I center mine so it overhangs the cab and shark fin by a few inches and then hangs over the back just slightly also.
Let me see if I can find a picture of a side view.

If it's 84", then it would be 12" overhang?

Yes. I center a few inches over can and a few inches off the back. That is in a long bed.

That was my overhang with the Roofnest. I expect the same with the auto M49 that will be in my hands soon
