An unusually high amount of pinstriping.
That fan is f-ing brilliant. We picked up two for our trip into the South West and they were a lifesaver. The second speed setting will last all night. The clamp works perfectly with the bars in the tent.

I'll post a full review after we have a couple trips.

Initial impressions are that it is covered in more logos than I care for and it has a strong smell I'm hoping will air out...not sure if it's the mattress or tent but something has a chemical odor. I ordered silver and received black (lid color when closed) and they won't exchange the tent. They also told me if I remove the rack to have it wrapped it'll void the warranty and refused to cover the cost of the wrap. The black gets very hot (ladder was hot enough that the ladder that folds up in the tent was nearly too hot hold and since it stores in the tent that means that the bedding and mattress will be stupid hot in the summer too). Not so much of an issue if you set up and stay somewhere for several days but that's not how I'll be using this most of the time.

My order was also incomplete when delivered (I really think I got someone else's tent...thus the wrong color and missing accessories). It took another 7days to receive the rest of my order because they couldn't be bothered to ship it 2nd day.

Got carried away at the Tepui Warehouse sale and came home with an Explorer Autana 4.

I have plenty 20v batteries, so I picked up this Dewalt Fan https://www.amazon.com/DEWALT-DCE51...id=1564753598&s=sporting-goods&sr=1-2-catcorr

The hooks worked out great and the variable speed is nice. I used the 5ah battery from my weed eater last weekend and it lasted both nights with plenty of juice left. Has the option to plug in too if the site has power available.

3 Person Tent. Idk if it hangs over the sides or anything. I wanted it to fold towards the back to provide coverage. Which it does nicely.

Just had a but of shipping damage, which is just a few dents from a forklift picking it up.

It was from Tepui’s overstock warehouse sale at their HQ in Soquel outside Santa Cruz, CA. It was like Black Friday when they let us in, I’d say most of the tents on the floor were sold in the first 30 seconds. The scratch and dent new models in box I had were about 30% off MSRP, the open floor models for photo shoots or dealer displays were up to 65% off MSRP.

I also scored some fitted sheets for $40, which they usually charge $190 for. And a anti condensation mat for $90, originally $160.

Then this guy showed up and tried to take a tent home on the roof of their Model X, which is all glass.

Looks to be the exact same as the Smitty Overlander. Maybe just another distributor from the same Chinese source. If you keep an eye on 4 wheel parts you can probably get a better price. I paid a little under $700 delivered.

Both of them worked great for me. I was a little worried about them lasting all night, but we had no problems on the second setting. I think we did have one of them on the third setting all night once, but not sure. The biggest issue we had was charging both of them during the day, but with some planning it wasn't a problem.

How are you guys securing your RTT? I’m worried about theft.

I thought I would run a couple of I-bolts through the floor so a locking cable could secure them to the rack.

I’ve seen those, but it still doesn’t stop a thief from unbolting the four bolts that hold the rack to the bed.
