They actually make sheet suspenders to keep fitted sheets from pulling off the mattress. Just search them on Amazon. Have a set and they work well on my bed so I don’t see why they wouldn’t work for a tent mattress.

Did something similar...red pod in the center for 3rd brake, amber pods on each side for chase lights.

I saw a guy who puts towels down on his hood and then has the dog climb up on the hood, then the roof then through the side of the tent.

I just muffin topped him around the legs, and hoisted him in. Only need to get one or two rungs up to get him in. Getting him out was harder since I had a time reaching under his back legs when he was sitting down.

I do the exact same thing. I've only almost fallen of the ladder once when he pushed off the ladder with his back legs...

Yeah, Draco almost did me in when he started getting wiggly on the 3rd rung on the way down.

One benefit of having a pug and a boston terrier, I can just throw them in the tent before I even get on the ladder. Down side is little dogs mean little bladders and there is usually always at LEAST one trip down to pee in the middle of the night.

Draco holds like a gallon of water, I swear. He pee'd on a bush this morning and before he was done, it was cascading across the sidewalk all the way to the other side.

True, I used to have a jack russell terrier. He was much easier like you said. But, my current dog is a lot better to hike/camp with.

I think my next dog will be somewhere between the size of a jack russell and my current aussie/border collie mix.

I feel you there, as much as I like my little dogs I think if we ever get another one it will be something a little bigger like a brittany spaniel that can handle a little more adventuring.

I married into the same duo. Ours are definitely couch potatoes and not camping friendly. Also aren’t breeds I’d ever own by choice. Was a package deal, take the good with the bad :notsure:
