No deal, but I will clamp it to a hitch mounted bike carrier and sell it to you for $2500.

Does anyone know if the annexes made my 23Zero would fit a CVT tent? 23Zero makes varying height annexes. My CVT is on a bed rack, and the annex is too tall to use effectively. There is too much excess material so that it bunches up at the bottom and when it rains the annex gets flooded. I've spoken to CVT about this and they report no intention of making a shorter annex. 23Zero makes a a short annex for tents 60"-64" high. My CVT is 63" high so that would be perfect if the zipper and rail are the same making the brands work together.

Our dog is too big to lift into the tent so we like the annex for him. But if it is supposed to rain we can't use the annex.

I don't know if the annex would fit (thinking not) but thinking of a way around. What if you attached/sewed on Velcro or snaps near the top on the inside that would allow you to raise/shorten the annex with the "bunching" of the material near the top?

I might be the test subject and order the 23Zero annex. From what I can see a lot of these companies all use the same design. CVT, Tepui, Smittybuilt, and 23Zero tents all look very close in their structure and design with materials and details making them unique. Looking at the instruction manual PDF 23Zero has on their websites, the two companies look very close in their designs. The dimensions of my CVT and comparable 23Zero are the same. If anyone has a 23Zero and could provide an image of where the travel cover slides into the channel I could tell. At that point the only issue of compatibility would be the zipper, and worst case I could cut the zipper off the CVT annex and sew it onto the 23Zero annex.

Velcro would not be strong enough, the annex is actually really heavy. Snaps would work best but i would need to raise up close to two feet of material. Plus it wouldn't work for all four sides because the back wall against the truck is limited by the floor of the tent.

Edit: There goes my idea. I just called 23Zero and they don't make a short annex for their version of the tent that matches the dimensions on my CVT. So while I still believe it would work in practice, for my specific circumstances I'm still SOL.

Been thinking of going with a cap and putting the tent up there which would solve my problem and double the storage in my bed so I'm leaning more and more towards that route. Just afraid that folding up and getting the cover back on the tent is going to be a chore since I have to climb atop my Diamondback tonneau cover to stuff everything together and I won't be able to climb up on top of a cap.

My CVT annex has Velcro about 12”-14” below the top so you can shorten the annex.

Yeah? How old is your tent? Do you have any pictures? I'd like to do something similar if it works.

Ordered Tepui Kukenam3 last night. REI has a great price 1,120, while Tepui is 1,699. Can’t wait for it to arrive.

Mine has that velcro too. It's a ~6 year old Mt Rainier. I find it does not work great, but is better than nothing.

If my wife wasn't so insistent on the annex as a change room I'd throw it away... I have the same issue with it flooding when it rains, plus being bulky and heavy when packed up, and being a bit of a pain to set up with the zipper sticking, etc. The RTT is always dry, easy and fast to set up, and cozy. The annex ruins most of those characteristics.

We've been brain storming how to make a light and easy to use privacy curtain so my wife can keep the change room benefit but we can stop pretending the annex is useful living space.

I have never set up the annex. Just looked like it would be a pain in the ass.

Just get the cover in place then hop up there. Sit on the tent and zip it up

They must have stopped doing that at some point. Mine is about 18 months old. I can’t imagine Velcro would work too well anyway honestly. It is absolutely a pain to setup and store. If it wasn’t for the dog that is too heavy to lift into the tent, we’d never use it. On trips we take without him we are so much happier not using that annex.
It’s a huge pain in the ass.

Likely my plan. Just gotta figure a way to get up there. From the tailgate?

My tent 5 or 6 years old. I do not have any pictures. Have you called CVT and asked for bobby? He would know if they have an older annex. @Cascadia Tents

One of those door latch steps would be an option.

Got my Tepui Kukenam 3 Ruggedized about a month ago and never posted! Yeesh. Set up on a Prinsu Cap Rack with some prinsu tent mount feet. Spent a night in Olympic National Park in the 20's with myself, the lady, and the 60lb doggo. Super comfy! Only problem right now is the awning posts on the rhino awning side cant go in the holes cuz they rhino awning is in the way....need to get ingenious. Ergh...

Best deal I've seen in a while. Nice score! I'm waiting on my rack to be built, then it is camping season. I don't care if a freak snow storm hits, I'm taking the damn thing out and making its maiden voyage. I'm thinking about hitting an offroad park on the way back through. Hopefully all holds up well.

We have the same tent. How is the mattress. That was really my only worry.
