Well, ended up with the ruggedized Kukenam 3. Pick up is Friday, we're excited.
Just need the bed bars from BAMF, hopefully by the end of the month.

I just picked one of those up myself. In the same boat, hopefully have the rack built by the end of the month as well. I can't wait to get out and enjoy that thing.

Happened over a year ago. They said at the time that they weren't planning on changing the tents or the branding...

Ooh ok. That must have been about the time they changed their logo.. so glad I have the old RTT truck logo on my tent, it's way cooler imo

I had to do the same to my Smittybilt, I consider it normal wear and tear no big deal.

The key to keep is to melt the holes for the rivets to keep the strap from fraying and coming apart. I used the tip of a solder iron, a red hot nail will be fine as well.

Ooo soldering iron, genius. Thanks for the pro tip.

Did you go with 1 inch buckles or 1.5? I ordered a pair of 1.5's based off that other recommendation but they came in yesterday and seem like huge overkill to me.

I went with the 1" to match because I chose to only replace the half that was frayed. The 1.5" that you got will be absolutely fine.

Will you confirm that the Low Pro 3 has a quick attach ladder? Went to pick mine up at REI today but it was damaged and I forgot to check. They are shipping one to my house for free to make up for it.

It does. There's two spring loaded doohickeys that the ladder attaches to. I wish the ladder could stay on when the tent is stowed away but it has to be removed for the cover to fit.
