Hey I still get 14-15mpg's on premium daily driving. But it does help that fuel is about 60cents cheaper out here.

Beautiful truck and nice list of goodies there. I'll definitely hit you up if I'm ever down your way.

I revoke my previous offer with that kind of insult. And I thought us Ryan's were supposed to stick together

Ok I'm sorry, that was too far. We need to have a Ryan Trail Run meetup one of these days.

Sounds good. I do want to go back to Moab, and that might be a happy medium. Well at least about the same distance for each of us

It's hard to beat Moab, especially when it's this close. Let's round up all the other Ryans in the area and go.

Progress on the butt cooler. I found some random vacuum hose lying around & it turned out to be perfect. Mounted it to the air vent under the seat and I'm getting airflow 10 feet back - definitely should work. Just need to mount it under the seat now.

After some trial and error I figured out a simple and effective way to make this work.

    1Final.jpg

The fan blade sits right on top of the white mesh filter, so anything that touches it will stop the fan. That ruled out an enclosed setup. The version pictured directs the air right at the fan but leaves it disconnected with about a 1" gap. That way there's no worry about sliding the seat back and forth or someone in the back seat accidentally kicking the new pipes.

Here's the total list of parts required:
5" of 1.5" diameter shop vac hose
5" of 1" diameter PVC pipe
    a 1" PVC elbow
    4 screws

    2Parts.jpg

Pretty simple installation as shown in photos above. I can do a full writeup if anyone needs but I'd be surprised if 2 people were ever helped by this.

Anyway, it's super effective. Here's before, with standard Katzkin Degreez vented seats:

    3Temp1Fan.jpg

Outside temp was about 80 degrees so it's a bit cooler and the air movement does make a difference.

But now here's the actual cooled seat with my A/C air blowing through:

    4Temp2AC.jpg

^ that's the stuff right there. About 20 degrees cooler.

One of the best changes I made to the truck early on: the all-in-one remote flip key

    IMG_5428.jpg

    IMG_5426.jpg

It got old fast carrying around the standard key + separate remote fob (I'm a pocket minimalist) and this reduces the bulk.

I'd forgotten about the fact that it's not OEM till the kid at Discount Tire got all sorts of excited about it (he also drives a Taco). He called it an "Audi key."
