Yea I think we are gonna do all speakers, head unit, small amp and sub. Not sure on the exact specifics, but he keeps trying to convince me to swap out my sound, but I got no idea how the stock PRO sound is compared to a good aftermarket one.

Nice, that'll be a fun project.
My buddy has a '15 DCSB OR and just did that to his - amp, JL stealth box, head unit, and front speakers. It sounds amazing, but man I can't justify $2000 worth of audio upgrades like that no matter how good it makes his podcasts sound.

I think for something like that, you have to be a sound nut in order to be able to do that. Not that spending 2k is hard, but guys like you and me just probably wouldn't know the appreciation to shoot for that. I am really just entertaining upgrading my sound. In my old 4runner I upgraded the head unit, speaker, sub, and amp. After 6 months the system didn't work worth a shit and the components were picked out by a stereo guy so Im hesitant to see what the longevity on something better would be for me.

It’s hard to do decent stuff without spending that much. I put about $1200 into my old truck and it was just ok gear and no head unit. I do miss the sub though, the little 8” JL shallow box is AMAZING.

Yea and while I have spent a shit load on my truck as it is...got more mods that take precedence before worrying about sound in any capacity for that price.

Agreed ... gotta keep the priorities straight. Like those 20” chrome rims I know you’ve been eying.

Chrome and 20's? I did score my gold 17s which is close enough.

Ah word...so wait are the gold rays too tasteful? I have to admit though, it has to grow on you for it to work with the red.

It takes the right rig to pull it off. I'd put the '80 Mustang at the bottom of the gold pile, but your wheels are the top.
