My trial is almost up. Not a tiny bit interested but they are sending me mail every day and phone calls and emails.
Anybody know how to make them store? My last vehicle(Honda) they hounded me for a year or more

I just kept adding it to my recycling. Annoying and wasteful but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

When they called me, I straight up asked them how to justify a $20/month payment on something that I can only use while in my truck when radio stations are free and give me local traffic. They never called back.

You can bargain with them. I’m on my 3rd year and loving it, last time I paid like 115$ for the full year. You also get XM app on your phone and on your computer. That app has about 300 channels. Also the sound quality is hands down better than any radio, CD, Bluetooth etc.

I only listen to XM in my car. When I go camping and there is no reception, XM is always there which is awesome.

    That's actually not bad.

It's about the same as what I pay for Spotify. Which, IMHO is better, but I need to remember to download songs or watch my data. It would be nice to flick through stations if I feel like switching it up opposed to listening to only what I have downloaded.

But....I do get tired of the XM stations as well. I doubt I'll keep it up when my trial expires.

They called relentlessly when my wife's trial expired. I blocked the number when they started calling twice a day, every day.

I'm so glad I don't have to worry about data

That amount of data would cost me over $160/mth :canada:

My wife and I share 15gb/mo. and that costs enough.

For that type of data it would be cheaper to buy another truck! We get raked over the coals for data in Canada and told we are getting some of the beat rates in the world!

I found the XM stations boring. Played the same junk over and over again.

Wife added me to her Spotify, now I listen to exactly what I want to hear.

I’m a fan of Sirus, in fact I’ve been a subscriber for 15+ years! However you do have to negotiate with them in order to get the best rate.

I have two receivers; one in my work truck which I listen to 4-6 hours a day. And the one in my Taco which mainly gets used on trips. There are are some talk shows I enjoy which are only on Sirius. Plus on long trips it’s nice to just set a station and forget it.

As far as how to stop their mailers? I have no idea. I guess just treat their stuff like other unwanted mail and toss it.

My wife has Spotify and loves it. I actually really enjoy XM, they got some really cool rock/metal stations I really like. Also, it’s nice to listen to podcasts at work with the phone app.

I guess I never experienced their annoying calls since my membership never expired haha.

I once drove for 3.5 hours listening to the same station. Channel 53, “chill”.

Yep, I’m on a “special” plan because I’ve been with Fido for 12 years. Paying 70$ for 20g of data.
