They are a sub of cooper and the carcass is the same as the st line. More sizes offered.

I recently moved and if I were to get an MT, I'd look hard at the yokohoma geolanders, st pro, and courser mxt

They have a a hum in the 50s but it drowns out after 60-65 and it's honestly not that bad. I love the way they look so don't really care about the noise. I went from 265/75 Falken to the Courser CXT 255/85 and actually gained back some MPG, currently getting 16 in the city and 19 on the highway. I regularly air them down to 18-20 PSI and am always impressed by them offroad, I have never had an issue, yet to be in deep sand/mud though. I was between the Courser CXT and ST Maxx, but the Maxx were out of stock for my tire guy and the CXT out the door were a couple hundred cheaper at $920 for a set of 4. I would do it all over again no questions asked, love 'em!

Just looked at these and they might have to take place of the coopers lol. About 40 cheaper a tire too.

I've been on Nitto Ridgies for about 35k. I think I'm always going to stick with hybrids after my experience with them. The Yoko's are some sweet MTs though.

Well if you're looking for a hybrid the CXT are it

I went with duratracs because I got a really good deal (634) 265 75 16 load C out the door with certs, and my dad runs em on his jeep and love them

That's good to hear. Hopefully I see a similar increase in MPG.

The Mastercraft CXT’s are made by Cooper but they use a different carcass than the ST line because the CXT is a 2ply and the ST line is a 3ply armortech carcass.

Still a awesome tire and actually rides smoother since it doesn’t have that 3rd ply.

Thoughts on a 235/85/16 in a dedicated winter tire? On a stock 2020 off-road, I have combed through here and have not seen much of anything other then AT's.

Or I just keep the stock tire size for winters.

I have been considering 235/85/16 non-studded Hakkapeliitta LT3s for the winter. I haven't seen anyone running them, but it seems like the perfect snow tire for our trucks.

Similar plan. I used to run studs but found I wore them down long before the tires as there was not quite enough ice around.

Hakka's are amazing!! I run the 265/75r16 but they are the best all around snow tires. If you want best ice performance the Blizzaks just barely beat them out.

A few options seem to be available in 235/85/16 around me in southern BC. prices in CDN $$$

    Toyo Open Country wlt1 $230
    Hakka's(non studded) $277
    Cooper $250
    Kuhmo $200
    Hurcules $203

For what only amounts to couple hundred bucks...the Hakkas sure look mean compared to everything else.
