Yeah I'm going to run 255 80 17's just because there is more choices for AT tires.

Tire choices for 17’s dwarf the choices for 16’s for sure. I just like more rubber than wheel. Car manufacturers have pushed the 16” wheel almost into extinction

Hello Tacomaworldlings, I come a distant land called Tundras.com.

I have an inquiry. What would be a skinny 34” tire for a 20in rim? Do they even exist? Whats the pizza cutter 33s equivalent for the Tundra? Hopefully one of yall will know.

Same here. I went with a 17 on this truck just for the options though. On my 85 4runner I always ran 16s

    pinstripes. lots of pinstripes.

Pizza cutters for the 33s are a 255/85-16 or similar, which is 10" section width. So a 3.3:1 height to tread ratio looks good to me for pizza cutter status.

Don't even know if these are common sizes but here are some close comparisons.

    A 255 isn’t truly a pizza cutter tire at all. A 235 is a pizza cutter.

Looks like a 235/85 works out to about a 3.4:1 ratio of height to width, and it's almost a 32" tire. Think the 255 still qualifies.

The real pizza cutter is the 7.50-16, and everything since has been trying to get back to that.

255’s were very standard truck tire size for many many years. Absolutely not a pizza cutter. It’s just not a mall crawling instacrap photo tire. :amen::amen:

And in case anyone's wondering about the 7.50-16, I tried it.

Your personal thoughts when you were running those 235’s ? On road and off road opinion.

Had Discount Tire mount them and tried them out for a few days but at the chalk-tested air pressure, they felt like they weren't stiff enough across the tread blocks. So the steering was extremely squirmy and dull, wouldn't react very quickly to inputs and bumps in the road made it wander quite a bit. In another thread on here I had pics of the tread face measurement and it was only about 6" of contact with. I swapped them for the 235s from Yokohama to get a little better road feeling back.

These are authentic and 'nearly' original pizza cutters dedicated to off-road use. 6.00 x 16.

The Model T tires are the original and strictly off-road; as there weren't any paved ones then.
(Ok, I'll cave. Europe had cobblestone roads dating earlier than 1908...)
