10/10, would look at these pics again.

Are those the 255/85/16’s you mentioned a few posts back? I know I read you had a couple different sizes on the truck at various times.

    Does it hold speed better?

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
    They are indeed that size.

I’ve put about 500 miles on the new tires and most of my driving is in the city so can’t speak on highway experience but they do slightly hold speed better. Not a night a day difference but it’s noticeable.

I put Cooper's on mine Saturday and they absolutely cannot get them to balance. My tire shakes at random speeds, anyone else have any issues?

I'm kinda irritated because I'm 95% highway and there isn't many choices left in 255/85r16.

That sounds like an issue for the tire shop to address, they either need to balance said tire or replace it with one that does.

When my dad got Ko2s way back, the tire shop went through 1 or maybe 2 before they got a set of 4 balanced properly.

Ya, they have road force balanced them and say they are at a '5' which is in spec. Uggg....

Coopers suck and never balance out correctly. Get a refund and switch tires if you still can.

Ah shoot, I haven't run into that before.

Looks like perhaps Maxx's suggestion is the best way forward.
Tires not being cheap...I don't think I could live with a wobble situation.

Wonder if there's any stats for what brands are most true to spec/good to go from the factory.

Agreed....they took them back to warranty them, so I'm just running some Goodyears now. Oh well, you live and you learn!

Sorry you had issues with your Coopers, I ran 2 sets of Cooper AT XLTs and I absolutely loved them.

Usually I'm not as big of a fan of the black rock rings on these but yours look fantastic! I've got the same exact setup on my rig except for the ring color and yours is making me think twice, haha!

It is just plasti-dip. Easily reversible.

I hate that stuff now. Maybe I just got burned by my one time use but I'm hesitant these days. Years ago I used it on some wheels and it hardened up and cracked and was a pain in the ass to remove. This was probably due to heat but I'm still weary.

I like the idea of keeping the rings uncoated because it hides scratches but would be easy to touch up plasti-dip too. Assuming it doesn't turn into a headache like it did for me last time :(

I haven't tried to remove it, had it on the rings for years and am finally thinking about re-finishing them.

If it sucks to remove I'll probably just have them media blasted and powder coated - I love the look of the black ring.

If you run into issues pulling it off I think there are some basic chemicals or lubricants that help. I wish I'd known back when I did mine. A couple google searches should point you in the right direction. Definitely shouldn't require media blasting.
