I bought the last 5 they had at my local wm for $250 otd...!! i knew they were being discontinued so i was happy to get the spare... I searched forever looking for the right tire, wanting a lightweight aggressive tire that had good on road manners.... there was always a compromise... I liked the Authority based on reviews from people who actually had them and not those who trashed them just because they were from walmart... I had decided on 265/75r16s because they were lighter and C Load but in the end i just went with the killer deal.. a little heavier than i wanted but im loving these tall skinnys and ill never go back.... rides great and gives the truck a clean utilitarian look

Look what goodies just came in. KO2s 34x10.5x17 to replace my duratrac 255/75r17. Excited but can’t lie, KO2s don’t look much bigger than the duratracs! Anyways, I’m in the Seattle area, my duratracs will be for sale in a few weeks if anyone is interested.

Got a 1.5 inch toytec lift. Will be pulling the lift out next week for OME. Those will be for sale as well. Both tires and lift have about 18,000 miles.

Bfg package weight 60lbs. Don’t got a scale

I noticed that pricing for the skinny tires seems to be lower as well. I dug into it and these are my findings.

    Some things to note:
    1. All tires are load range E unless otherwise stated.
    2. I tried to select sizes that may be run on Tacomas for pricing sampling/comparison (maxed out in the 285 range).
    3. This is not an all-inclusive list in size, brand, or model.
    4. There were duplicate listings for some of these, I went with the lower price (sidewall color was usually the cause of the price difference).
    5. All prices came from discounttire.com on 22 January 2018, prices may change and tires are subject to availability.
    6. These are the prices at one of many retailers, lower prices may be found elsewhere.
    7. Tires are sorted by price within each model.
    8. I'm human and typed all this out, so errors may exist.

Also: I do not work for or represent Discount Tire or any tire manufacturer. I used this site because it was relatively easy.

The trend is that the 235/85/16 tires tend to be one of the cheapest options for each model, some by quite a bit and some by just a few dollars.

Arb front bumper, warn winch, All Pro rear bumper, OME up front, OME and All Pro Standard in Back, ARB locker, 34 x 10.5 KO2's, 17" Level 8 Trackers, and fancy single piece driveshaft.
I think they are maybe 3 lbs heavier than the Duratracs were, but I'm not sure. Anyway, I don't notice it. I didn't notice it much, but I think the KO2's might have more rolling resistance than the Duratracs. I thought my mileage may have dropped. But the tire diameter is bigger, which impacts mileage calculations. So I'm not positive.

Wow, hadn’t realized quite how affordable the 235/85/16’s could be, thanks!

Here in Northern NM, many guys love the 235/85/16 option. The tires cut through the snow like butter and allows the trucks to get to places most other truck can’t. This is always a great thing because that is where most of the mountain lion tracks are found. Personally i don’t like the look of such skinny tires. But the performance is undisputed.

    Can you post more photos?
What psi are you running with the Ray10s?

I have 30,000+ on them and no idea of what is left on them off top of my head. With what is left I wouldn't purposely go out for a day of tearing up the mud but I wouldn't really do that if they were brand new either. Don't really like the mud. I have a few long distance trips on the. Drove from CO to VT and also 2 trips from VT to New Brunswick Canada and I think they are holding up really good.

Probably not 100% sure when I got them and add to the fact my Taco is a play toy since work is noce enough to give me a truck. I think a good amount of the miles are all off road mileage

Thanks bro. For the lift it only has a 2.5 leveling kit in the picture. I have a set of kings for the front and total chaos UCA and fox W/ reservoirs just sitting in boxes. I’m waiting for my bumper to come in before installing everything at once. Once it gets here I’ll bombard this page with lots of pictures.

    Subbing for good info...

But I gotta say, I love skinny tires. Running my second set of skinny super swampers(if 35x10.50 counts as skinny) and love them. 34,000 miles and still kicking and the truck goes everywhere I point it.
