    See sig.....

Nope, don't remember those; but I sure do recall things like actually having to look at a map for directions before such things as Mapquest and a GPS were available.

Man, I could go on and on about how good we have it these days with regards of ease in getting things done. I can't even really remember how I survived without the internet/smart phones

Life was sure simpler back in the day; but do I have more fun now that I have so much more at my disposal?

Hard to say.....but at least I have more options. Less freedom because of so many things being outlawed, but more resources to find out how to get around the rules. :)

why the hell are you gettin so defensive? you do know that this thread is not directed at any single person right? if you go buy a tv, it automatically comes witha remote. back in the 70's 80's it did not. you mentioned having an ipod. must be nice having 1000's of songs at your fingertips. back in the 80's you would have had a walkman and had maybe 13 songs per tape. in the military that means you would have had one or two tapes to walk around with. you may personally send letters but you have the option to send emails instantaneously. even if your parents dont have a computer they can go to their local library to check email. the point is not to attack you. additionally, this is meant as a humorous joke, making fun of the old people who talk about walking in the snow to school or having to heat up their bath water on the stove. when we are older and our kids can change the channel with their mind helmets we'll be saying "when i was your age i actually had to move my finger to make the channel change". loosen up dude

Next time you post something directly out of a forwarded email, please change the font to reasonable. Thank you.

Also - I'm 25 but identify with all of that. Did I do something wrong?

Kids today do have it easy as hell....but I've adapted and also have it easy as hell now. And I have no plan to have kids, because dammit I had to suffer through all that shit, and I'm going to enjoy the spoils. Also, kids mean less money to spend on trucks.
