It changes between a v6 trd off road and a 4 banger sr

The suspension off of the trd off road on a 2.7 should yeild about an inch lift and a firmer ride due to the coils being heavier because of the v6

I have seen this done by fellow memebers on a 2.7 access cab just never a 2.7 double cab

I did this swap on mine and didn't achieve any lift. Mine is a 2017 4x4 SR AC. My shocks came off a 2017 TRD OFFROAD DCSB 4X4. Maybe the lift is gained if the truck is 2WD?

    Too few to list.
In looking at the parts, there are 4 different part numbers for Tacoma coils. Looks like depending on trim and either 4x4 or RWD, a 4cyl and a 6cyl can share the same coil part number. They are also side specific.

    eg:
    • Positions:Right
    • Other Names:Spring, Spring Coil Front
    • Description:
4wd, without trd pro, 3.5L, 6 ft bed, without limited, without off road. Tacoma. 2.7l. Right. 140 wheelbase. 2wd, 3.5L, 6 ft bed. Without fuel tank protector.

    • Applications:RWD. 4WD.

Can you comment on the ride difference?

The OR TRDs have the only progressive rate coils vs all other models have linear rate coils.

I drive 100+ miles a day and I really couldn't tell much difference. The only noticeable difference was a R/R crossing. Before I would slow to 35-40, now I can go over it at 55 and its pretty smooth. I don't off-road, so no update on that aspect.

If I could find some free time I would be closer to selling mine! I am designing a new grill insert for my SR but need to make a few tweaks before cutting one. I am off to SEMA tomorrow morning and when I return my #1 priority is laser cutting the grill. If you are still in need of the stock SR grill by the time I have my new one I will let you know

I plastidipped but had issues getting it to adhere to the outer lip of the wheel so I peeled it all and painted it instead. I plan on getting fj cruiser trail teams wheels eventually.

The steelies weigh 28.5lbs on my scale which is inline with what others have said between 28-30 lbs.

I plan to do this to my SR DCSB. Just picked up some TRD OR suspension off a DCSB. I assume just a simple swap.

possibly stupid question here. My SR is pretty stock, tint, installed some fogs. I picked up some '17 TRD OR suspension and some new Falken WildPeak AT3w's that I'll be installing soon. I was back and forth between this and an SR5 and the price difference wasn't there for me to drop an extra $3k on the SR5. My question is how easy is it to add some features of the SR5 into the SR? Ideally looking at minor things like sun shades that have mirrors/lights? Homelink rear view? Radio to the SR5 version with XM? Even possibly the speedometer that has the multi-display unit?

Maybe stupid. Regardless, I love my SR and need to get a photo up!

What color? Cause I'm sure someone would be willing to trade, cause alot of people would rather have color matched bumpers.
