I only use it when towing something heavy. This truck is my first automatic so the shifting doesn't bother my. I wish it would hold gears on cruise control slightly longer.

When I had my 4 cylinder I found myself flooring it a lot in 5th unintentionally. Glad I got the V6 when I found out I needed 4 doors.

Side note: sorry for not multi quoting. It's a PITA on mobile

    Too few to list.
I already said I thought SR only came in 4cyl as where I am, DC SR practically does not exist let alone a V6. Hell, 4x4 SR doesn't even exist in SoCal. Toyota only sells our region what they think we should have. For a V6 here, it would have to be SR5 trim or above.

I just went on Cars.com and found a handful of DCSB SR V6's in LA, but who knows if they are even listed correctly. Anyway, the discussion was whether Toyota made a V6 SR, and they do. I'm out.

When I bought my 4x4 SR, I had to go out of region as SR's available here were only available as Pre-Runners. This is how I found out that Toyota dictates what to sell in what region as they like to up sell in CA. Like I said, now I know that SR V6 does exist but just not in my area.

Does anyone have pics of 265's on their flare-less fender SR's? If possible, from straight in front and a top-down view from the fender? I would like to see if it sticks past or not as I don't want to have to deal with added expense of flares to keep it legal.

I should've ditched my steelies for those SR wheels before I left the dealer.

I just swapped out my steel wheels 245/75-16 IMG_0907.jpg for alloys with 265/70-16 Goodyear duratracs IMG_0913.jpg They don't stick out any further than the steel wheels that I can tell. The bottom picture looks like they are wider buts it's just the angle of the picture.IMG_0914.jpg

I've had two sets of Duratracs at 285/70R17 and 265/75R16 and after about 20K+ miles, they produce a hum on road. Don't know if I'd buy them again or try something else.

    Did you actually install this?

Of course. I wouldn't take out the stock one for no reason. As far as butt dyno goes, the gain is across the board with the majority of it in mid-range. I do lots of hills and the truck moves a lot better going up. Only had it for less than a week. I'll be doing long distance highway driving to see if any mpg benefits.

If it wasn't ceramic coated, might pass for oem for smog inspection. Might even pass the way it is depending on the shop.

I see. Yes I'm on the stock 245 and steelies. Thank you for the information, brother. I'm new to all this so I really appreciate it

I had the stock OR wheels and tires (265/70R16) on and they looked great with no sticking out. Would have kept them but wanted a lighter wheel set up. OEM OR alloy is 24-25 lbs.

How difficult is the install, is it pretty straightforward. Also how loud is it are you running a full system or only the header?
    Thanks

Yep, that was my next question. Did you connect it to the stock exhaust system?

Super easy install. Nothing hard about it at all. Fit and welds are great. No change in sound from oem. Only running stock. Doubt there is anything to gain by going full exhaust with this motor.

Very cool - thanks for posting this.
With the slight boost in overall torque I would think your gas mileage would have slightly improved - that is if you can keep your foot out it.
