Awesome pic, using some sort of fish-eye lens or a panoramic function?

My other annoyance is the lack of plug & play hitch wiring adaptability. It was a simple connection to the taillights on my old 2000 Chevrolet S-10. But I’d take this Tacoma any day over that old Chevy.

I may do it. Eventually. But then I was in my car the other day and I never could get the interval right. I fiddled with it about as much as I would the "mist" option on our cheapskate stalk. So I'll just live with it for a while. It doesn't rain THAT often.

Still think the look of the SR is quintessential Toyota Pickup. I don't care for the fender flares at all. Minimal badging. Just a good clean look.

Those T4R wheels look good on there man! Good call!

Notice any drastic difference in acceleration or braking?

Maybe a little in acceleration...lost about 3 mpgs (20lbs heavier per tire)

Well I got an SX model so I got the flares...

But yeah, it was especially funny to me to have a truck come from the factory with things that others have to spend money and time to get and do. And it's the base model.

I got no chrome in the interior, a black 4x4 and Black Raised Letters on the tail gate as my only badges. But the best point of all is a four cylinder that I know is bullet proof and has all the power I need and can get me as fast as I want to go.

The SX was gonna be my truck as soon as it came out. It was everything I had wanted.

How are you calculating MPGs? Your tires are bigger now.

Spot on. I was busy trying to rid my previous TRD Off Road of badges and chrome. Not even necessary with my SR.

Hand calculated. Remember, I'm in CO - everywhere I go is up hill...both ways.

Width is a killer of mpg's & obviously weight. I went from the stock wheel/tire combo to Rotiforms and Cooper A/T's (265/70R17) and took a 3mpg hit as well. I calculate via the trip odometer at fillup and run a scangauge for live mpg readings.

Isn't the odometer off with bigger tires?

By ~4% yes which is about 15 miles for what I usually get out of a tank; so there is probably 1/2 mpg in error

I've got a mobtown skid on my 4cyl, plenty of room still to get your arm up there for the filter. I'd imagine other manufacturer skids would be similar.

Realized I havent shown my truck in this thread yet.

It was the only New 2.7 4x4 within 250 miles. There wss only one used one and it was a Utility model with 3600 miles. SX was much more appealing to me and I quickly fell in love with Quicksand.
