My 2021 SR first upgrade, swap out to the Kicker speakers all around. Sounds better that’s for sure. Gonna add an amp and subwoofer later. Waiting on my Rough Country seat covers. Probably do the bed lights next, already have the switch coming.

My two favorite grills for the Tacoma are the new SR grills and the TRD pro grille. Still debating on switching. You can’t go wrong with either. As an SR owner I’m lucky I didn’t need to put switching the grill as a priority. The wheels and tires on the other hand had to go.

Finally made the jump to M/T's and 5.29's. Did the ARB rear locker as well. Mounted an ARB single in front of the battery with a custom mount I cobbled together because no one makes anything for the lower trim level trucks (regular style brake booster and ABS module mounted on the passenger side). If theres any interest, I'll share my compressor mount setup. Kinda ghetto, but its been working out great.

Not a fan of ghetto but if you’ve got a mount for the ARB single in front of the battery I’m all ears. The bed compressor mount is a terrible design.

hah Its not super ghetto, its just unconventional. I'm using a 34R Odyssey battery so that means it has a 3/4" riser under the battery. I removed the riser, traced out a shape that would raise the battery into the proper location and sticks out beyond the front of the battery, then mounted the ARB compressor in that space between the back of the headlight and battery. The only thing thats really weird about it is that I made it from a fresh cut piece of local pine hah

I got the Rekgen too. Very easy to install, and IMO keeps the subtle look of the SR.

right! The 2020 SR grill has grown on me. I did purchase a PRO grill but I like rocking the SR grill for a bit until mabey summer time when Ill switch it out. They did a nice job with the 2020 sr grills vs the older "honey comb" style ones imo.

Would be nice to have that unpainted bumper cover from the utility. Is it a direct bolt on? Not sure if cost effective but for wheeling would definitely make sense. As well as rock chips. Anyone put one on?

I hated the new SR grille at first. I really wanted the old SR grille or the xtrek. I really didn't want to spend any money on aesthetics. The xtrek hadn't had the TSS kinks fully worked out, I didn't want to spend any time or money looking for a 2019 grille, so I tinted the TSS with vinyl and added 4 grille lights into the void at the peak of the grille. It kinda grew on me and I don't mind it so much. It would be great if it sat a bit deeper (or flush) into the bezel imo. $35 mod.
