Almost 2 years in on my 21, no issues so far and it’s still going where everyone else goes around here.

I'm all good with the stock looks to be honest. I'm hopeful that I can get a couple of high quotes and fix it "good enough". Shove a fist full of bucks in my pocket.

Its weird. I called to get a quote.... they asked for like 6 pictures and gave me a quote of $2200.... sight unseen. . No inspection of undercarriage. Seems shoddy.

If I were to get an offroad bumper i would want something that weighs about the same as stock with the draw tite receiver. I assume right around 60 - 65 lbs.

Not gonna lie I'm looking at this one that comes in at 68lbs.
    upload_2022-6-20_17-3-45.jpg upload_2022-6-20_17-4-50.jpg

Not everyone's cup of tea I'm sure.... but I like the dovetail and simple design. I like the fact that the receiver is built in behind the license plate.

If I could get a big enough check.... I'd get this, have it painted to match, get a new tailgate and have that painted as well. Sell my tailgate "as is", sell the remainder of my bumper parts that arent destroyed as is.

Ha that was a joke, I didn't really notice any major difference. Well worth doing imo.

Updated pic of my SR with new wheels and tires

Was thinking about doing the pro grille but I think I am going to keep the SR one. May do LED headlights and fogs at some point but pretty happy with it now so I may be done.

Looks great. I initially hated my SR grille... it grew in me... now I like it.
My son grabbed all the OEM parts to do LED fogs on his SR for right around $300 (gently used lamp assemblies off another TW member). I have to say they are a lot better than mine. .. I have all OEM parts and the offroad lamp assemblies... his beam pattern is much better. I want to get a set of them in the future.

300 isn't too bad I would definitely do it for that!

    Harness was around $55
    Relay was like $8
    Stalk was roughly $90
Offroad bezels were oddly the cheapest at $7 each (I paid like $20 each for my SR5 angled bezels)
The screws were like $2 each

And he did what I did.... just trolled the B/S/T 3rd gen forum until he found someone that had basically brand new take off lights that was looking to dump off and get a few bucks.
I got a set of OEM off road take offs for $40 shipped.... they were basically brand new

He scored the LED OEM off road take offs shipped for $75. They were brand new.

So.... the most expensive part for both of us was the Stalk .... I wanted my setup to be 100%factory and so did he.

My new one I have coming is white. That Barc' red is sharp though. Every vehicle in my drive is white so I fell to peer pressure, lol. What tires/wheels are running? And any lift? And my last few vehicles have had LED headlights so I know I won't be happy the first time I drive at night with halogens. I'll send the link to the LEDs I am gonna get. Like $100 for both high and low beams. I did a similar swap in my F150 and they were night and day better than the stock halogens.

Just check all the hardware first.... I had an issue with the carriage bolts that get fished into the factory support bracket. Turns out one of those carriage bolts had a different thread pattern and the nut did not get past a half turn..........

I wouldn't have found this out until AFTER the carriage bolt was inside that support bracket had I not verified everything fit properly, this would have ruined my day.. causing me to have to try and fish that carriage bolt out.

I contacted Draw Tite... they sent me another complete set of hardware lickety split..that set all went together as expected.

The thing is tough for sure..... look what it did....

Thank you for the info. I’ll check it later. Yeah protection is the main purpose why I’m putting one, I am cautious when driving but I can’t control the one who’s in my back.

I like that, fairly slim and tucked…unlike some of the abominations out there.

Yeah like the SR grill, breaks up the front end better…looks more utilitarian too. Pro grill has been so overplayed…

The square caps sold to cover the receiver tube - also fit the left & right side cross tube openings.
I attached a length of bungee cord (via a hole in each cap) to keep the caps pulled in tight, since I store things (length of chain, extra straps, etc.) in that cross tube. Didn't want the forces from cornering to push the caps off.

Thanks for the info. The cover cap is far from my list. Next on my target are the Clazzio Leather and heated seats.

Not pushing ya. Just pointing out.

I'm fact, I might not have done the caps at all - except for coming across 2 or 3 at a garage sale for .50 cents and thinking "I could find use for these". Found the cross tube was the same size and an empty vessel. That was all it took.

    Heated seats for Virginia Beach???

Yeah the winter here gets pretty cold for a guy that grew up in a tropical place.
