How’s the ride with the 5100’s compared to stock? I’ve only done my tears but I like the feel.

Ride is night and day. Higher speed turns, just cruising over bumbs, intersections etc smoother and more planted. Stock Hitachi's felt more jarring and not as smooth on the rebound.

Just throwing this up here for the SR owners. Kevin @no vtec 4me is somewhat local to me and he did my BHLM .. I wouldn't have done it if I couldn't do a dropoff pickup deal, but now he's offering OEM quality replacement lights retrofitted and upgraded to the buyers needs .. pretty cool. It's literally the only mod I had someone else do. I don't generally want other people touching my truck.

Quality was top notch. No issues with my lights or my son's lights thus far.

There's some folks who have talked about light upgrades.. well if you are in the market for some custom one off lights it's worth checking out...

If this has convenience package, it’s the best bang for the Buck as far as tacos are concerned imo. It comes with a lot of what you actually need unless you tow.

It does have the convenience package, and I agree. I had a 19 OR MT but sold it when I got married and bought my 04 2WD as a commuter. With the new generation coming out next year, I figured this would be the last chance to get the reliable 2.7. Last winter we got my wife a T4R Limited because who knows what the future holds as far as engines and reliability, and I can tow with it if need be. Really happy with all of the standard equipment these come with and I'm going to take some of the funds from the sale of my 04 to upgrade wheels and tires.

And now it looks like I'm in the market for some 5100s. Great looking unit!

Thinking about the '20 pro wheels and Goodyear UltraTerrains in 265. Should be around a 60 lb package to keep the weight down.

Smart purchase and it will hold its value. Was it still under $30k?

It was 32,but the longevity of this truck will pay for itself long term and I can live with it. Bought from a dealer that didn't markup the T4R we bought at the height of the insane market. Had several dealers still peddling markups, mandatory extended warranties at the cost of the buyer, and add ons I wasn't willing to pay for. Truck came with convenience package, all weather floor mats, door sill protectors, door edge guards, and some charging cables. I wanted all of that except the cables but I'll use them. Everything I need and nothing I don't.

Besides the harness behind the grill, it should have the relays and wiring for a fog light install too. Maintenance is cheaper on the 4 banger and easier as well.

32k that's out the door and on the road?
That's really darn good for a brand new 4x4 in this market.

Back in June I was rear ended. I was so frustrated that I just wanted to trade in and start over. My new truck was now a used piece of crap. I couldn't touch a brand new 22 SR AC 4x4 convenience package for under 37k OTD. I looked everywhere.

Daaaamn they were gouging. 37 is like 3 g’s more than a v6 sr5 should be. Glad yours wasn’t totaled. Did you request a current market value loss of value check on top of damages?

I didn't get into any of that. I just decided to not really fix anything that I couldn't fix in my driveway. Give me the check and I'll take care of it on my own type deal.

If I could score a brand new 23 AC 4x4 SR for 32k I would trade up. I'd wind up making out pretty good
