Sometimes I'll get in the truck and have dried crud on it. I immediately hit the wash and let it soften the gunk a bit before hitting wipe.

Also I wore an onion on my belt back in the day as it was the style at the time...

It's quite easy to install. And yes, it makes no sense.

Yeah mine were easy to remove also. I had the dealership remove them before I brought them the check and signed the papers. Have them in a plastic lug in storage to go with the truck when I trade it off for another color truck.

I ordered mine also, still negotiated. I actually negotiated after ordering and before receiving. Went to multiple dealers and continues to shop even after ordering. They want your business, they'll negotiate. I paid less than window sticker price out the door after all taxes and fees. I was happy with that. There's no such thing as a price that can't be negotiated.

Did you use addafuse or did you just tap into a wire coming off the block? If you can take a picture for me I would greatly appreciate it. I have the mirror and wire kit but I'm not sure where or how I should tap into the fuse block.

I enjoy it honestly. I love the negotiation process and playing one dealer against the other. It's worth the time to keep your money in your pocket.

I went truecar and used that to negotiate a price. My dealer did not have a MT truck on the lot or anywhere around here available to drive. They ordered my truck with only my verbal agreement to come in and test drive it. I told them I wouldn't agree to buy anything without test driving it. Got out the door lower than MSRP and no dealer fees.

How much are you guys paying for an SR MT 4x4? Do they take much off the MSRP? I always thought the less add-on the less off the price, not as much mark up. I like the style of the 3rd Get especially the interior. I'm thinking of trading my 2015 AC V6 SR5 for an SR manual.

I got out the door for $24,400 for an AC MT/2.7 Utility not counting my trade. No other dealer fees. That was all they were going to budge and the sales mgr and I were yelling at each other at one point lol. He did give me $400 more than the trade in value on my old truck though.

I know some did better than me though.

There's always room to negotiate. Shop around, play dealers against eachother, they all want your business and want to beat the other guys price. I love my 3rd gen but I may actually sell it or trade it in for a new 4Runner but we'll see.

After Looking at the spec sheet on the Toyota website, nothing about alloy wheels for the SR. The SR5 has the dark alloys now. Maybe I can negotiate to get the wheels swapped out..

Very strange they would only do that for one year. To me, the dark alloy wheels were the nicest stock wheel offered and one of the things that made me buy the SR.

I agree they looked awesome. I will get a SR regardless, but it still would be nice to get the alloy wheels.

Yeah the SR IMO is the best bang for the buck unless you have a need for the locker and other features of the higher end models. For me, the SR had everything I wanted and needed. When you built your truck online, did you select the appearance package? That's what I ordered mine with which is why I got the alloy wheels over the steel wheels. Body color bumpers rather than chrome or unpainted was another part of the appearance package which was a must for me.

I prefer bare bones and no features for a truck. The SR is pretty bare bones compared to other new trucks so I can live with that. I did select the appearance package and that comes with steel wheels too. I know wheels are easy to swap out, but I like to have OEM wheels on my trucks rather than aftermarket. We'll see if the dealer is willing to work with me, if not I'll look into other dealers, maybe mine will cave if I walk away.

This is mine the day I brought it home, had less than 10 miles on it in this picture.

That's a good looking truck! I was torn between MGM and white, but I think I'm going to go with white. I prefer non metallic paint jobs for some reason.
