Been wanting fender flares for awhile and knew the OEMs could be challenging to install and costly to acquire. Upon a late night internet binge I found these.. Lund Sport Textured Fender Flares. Turned out well IMO.

Easy install, utilizes pre-existing holes. Hardest part was putting the rubber trim on the flare. I preinstalled the Rubber trim using tape to hold it to the flare until It was installed. Pressure against the side of the truck easily holds it in place. Doesn't use double sided tape so they should hold up well. I've got a car wash pass and wear it out, don't for see any issues from these consistent beatings. I picked them up for $253 shipped from Auto Parts warehouse after 10% new customer coupon code.

Just FYI, There are 4 types Lund makes, one style that is larger with Rivets? and the smaller, less agressive size, "Sport" which is what I've got. They come in a Smooth and Textured finish. Since I wanted an OEM look and didn't plan on painting I chose textured.

Lund fenders look awkward to me. I got lucky enough to snag a set of OEM flares on eBay for ~280 and mounted them to my SR. install was a breeze, used preexisting holes as well. no drilling

Went to check out this 5sp manual Sr because I wanted to test drive one. They have a 27k dollar truck marked up to 35k. These folks have got to be out of there mind. 3k market adjustment on the cheapest tacoma you can get, get the fuck out here. $900 for nitgrogen, for real. $700 for dealer services, they better service my balls for that much.20170405_191237.jpg

My local dealer does the same bs with all their cars and trucks. Not nearly as insane as yours but they mark up every damn car and truck $1987 and won't come off it. F em. I hope they go out of business and live under a bridge starving to death. I've built my truck 100 times online for $25100 and dammed if I can find one that isn't all jacked up to hell and back online that's just like the one I built. They'll take my $25100 truck and the price on cars.com is 27-28k. I've even emailed them and said I'd pay $24000 today, never got an email back. Toyota dealers can go straight to hell.

That's crazy on the 3k markup.

In other news, you guys know a model-specific hitch for the 3rd gen Taco is only $100? I just bought a Draw Tite class III new, shipped, for $107.00. I was fully expecting a couple c notes, at least.

What makes it even worse is some fool will walk in and buy it without blinking an eye. They would have done zero research into pricing, model selection, etc. and will believe every word (lie) the salesman tells them. Dealer is hoping for the one in a bunch "Fool and his money" to hit their lot.

Bought on eBay. They were originally white but got them painted by a friend. Looks way better in person than the pictures.
