With these trucks getting heavier and heavier. It would be nice if Toyota released a nice turbocharged 4cyl. Not too much boost but maybe 200hp/200 torque.

Did your truck come with the painted bumper or did you have someone do it? Also did you remove the front air dam?

Edit: How are you liking your Rigid Industries fog light kit? I'm considering that versus making my own

Yeah I forgot about the T4R Pro wheels, those are sweet also but are gonna cost more.

Don't forget the 2016 SR Dark Satin wheels, now optional on an SR5, they are out there.

I prefer Toyota wheels over others, unless it's SCS.

Heck even the 18" Limited wheels with the right tire (KO2 WLO) look sweet!

I've stole all theses pics, hahaha

Yea I guess I just got spoiled by the $8000 I got off sticker on my wife's 17 camry, but then again they aren't selling cars like they are trucks.

They sold nearly 388K Camry's alone in 2016, compared to 190K Tacomas.

Since they sell them in a higher volume is why they get deeper discounts I am guessing.

No once they released the pictures and info on the 2018 camry then 17 camry's started piling up on the lots so they started putting incentives on them to move them.

Awesome, I'd like to sort some things out before doing the lights but ill keep that in mind. I took my predator steps off and they are now in the 3rd gen classifieds; also removed the air dam this morning. On Nashville craigslist there is a set of the SR5 T4R take offs for $300 and I think I would powder coat them black to tie in to all the black accents on the truck.

It would be great to find someone with a MGM truck that took their OEM front bumper off for an aftermarket one so I could pick it up instead of getting mine painted; but then again if I do black wheels it may not stand out so bad?

I am trading in my 16' Quicksand TRD OR manual 4x4 for a SR MGM utility pkg manual i4 4x4. I put a deposit down and hopefully will get it next weekend.

I was thinking performance and numbers and coolness when I bought it. I keep thinking I would be happy with a 4cyl long term and future maintenance. This will increase my payments a year and a half and at the same time cut it in half.

Here is my 17 Tacoma SR.
Went cheap as well and upgraded what I wanted. I don't need all the gadgets and gizmos they stick on these things. Looking for fog lights to put in the Limited chrome trim rings I just picked up. Also looking at stainless bed rails for looks and protection. I haul our bikes and worry about one falling over.Toymater 009.jpg

I agree. Though the three things I will miss are the mpg read outs and nav and the color. They can be replaced however, minus the paint.

That is what I want to do as well. Modify as I go. I already have my Yakama rocket box and racks. As for everything else, I have been reading on what to add and do.

plasti dip emblems, TRD off road wheels, pro clips cell phone mount. 20 percent tint.
Any of you SR owners know what it would take to swap out the base SR headlights with the TRD or Pro headlights?

    Might be a regional thing?

SET only shows five basic colors for SR selection,

White, Silver, MGM, Black and Red

Usually when I see a grill with that much chrome I'm not diggin it, but the wheels balance it out well. I'd drive it for sure!

Your fog lights should also compliment it.

As would a chrome rear bumper,

What are you guys with the DCSB V6 4x4s paying? There's 3 of them for sale locally at dealers and all are priced at around 30,800 give or take a few dollars. Two are white and one is MGM.

5100's all around, OME 887 with 1/4" spacer, icon 3 leaf aal. 255/75/17 BFG KM's on 4runner pro's. Rigid led pods. Debadged and tinted.
That's a pretty good price. Mine had a few small options... Floor mats, that kind of stuff, and I got it just under invoice: 30,300. With no rebates available, it's all dealer discounts on these things.

My dealer I have purchased four trucks from marks them up 750 over invoice, so the DCSB V6 I wanted with added Conv and Tow for a 2017 would have been 30,866.

Found out the other day they can't order 2017s anymore so i am waiting to see what the definite changes to the 2018s are. There is speculation they may even not be selling to the public the DCSB V6 trucks, but I'm not buying that.

I saw they stopped selling the fleet version DCSB V6 but it was also a M/T, not an A/T.

We know the tow package is standard now on V6 trucks, and supposedly cruise is going to be standard too with the TSS.

So basically I'm hoping to maybe get into a Silver DCSB with only a Conv package added for the keyless and such.

    Time will tell.

Also I'm tempted to see what an SR5 would run, I can get Dark Satin alloys and the power rear slider now supposedly! :annoyed:
