Nice that thing is going to look good when you upgrade the wheels n tires. 4.88? I'm assuming that's the regear you're going to go with? I don't know much about that but I know it's a good idea to regear when you get larger tires, what size tires will you be putting on there? I want to move up to 285/70 and was wondering about the whole regear thing myself.

 

Yes, 4.88 with 255/85R16. I have to re-gear since I have a 2.7 4cyl. You should be fine without one, but you will get less mpg and lose a little power. Ask @0uTkAsT , he is fed up like me. That's why we are both waiting to save up for gears lol.

 

I don't mind the drop in mpg it is a truck after all not a prius but I really don't want to lose any power. Great I'll bug him with all my regear questions, thanks for all the info man.

Besides the limited wheels, those dark alloy SR wheels are the nicest ones offered on the 2016s. I am actually really not a fan of any of the other ones and really dislike the sport and trdof wheels. I'm more of a fan of the classic look with defined simple spokes.

 

What wheels/tires are those? (and size)

thanks. they are the trd tail team fj cruiser wheels 16s. tires are 265/75/16 ko2s

 

Did Toyota change the style of the front of the truck mid way through this year?

I'm poking around on some dealer sites and the SR looks like it has a bunch of black plastic shit from one end of the front under the headlights to the other. Just nasty!

 

Utility package removes the rear seats and removes the paint from front and rear bumper, mirrors and door handles.

 

I guess the black plastic shit comes with the utility package.

5 percent limo all around. Difficult to see at night but thank goodness for that reverse camera lol. Helps backing up at night, especially with a trailer.

Did you get the bubbles around the rear windows where the glass meets the black surround?

I can't tell from your pictures, but virtually every other tinted SR I've seen has this unfortunately.
