I personally didnt like the sound in my 06 it did seem low and so i changed the headunit and added a sub sounds so much better. I would go with a shallow sub no bass tube the bass tube will get in the way jmo.

wrong section. there is an a/v section on here. stock system sucks ass but you can definately fit a couple of subs behind the rear seat. Dont waste your time with bass tubes - they are soo 1995.

I wrote something sorta comprehensive here. For the sub, you will most likely need to remove the rear plastic, but here are two options (one , two). For more ideas, a thread was going on here.

Of course, Mr Marv's forum section would be a good place to ask questions as well. He is a good source for bouncing ideas off or getting things fabbed.

    All stock radios are crap.
There's no reason to put something good in when you can charge a captive audience $300 (or more) for $50 (or less) of quality.
the large majority of the public doesn't care, doesn't know about anything better, and doesn't want to spend any more
the radio is becoming more integrated into other portions of the vehicle

my dad fits part of the demographic: he loves the stock radio in his new car because his old car speakers/stereo is on its last legs. He doesn't want to replace it because he doesn't want to pay for it, won't know how to make it work, and worries that he would lose the functionality he already doesn't know how to use.
