Nice! I did the trunk of my car and it made it rattle significantly less. I had to double layer the stuff though.

Yeah I'm hopping there is a big improvement. Being slight hearing impaired (at least on my left side) a little would go a long way.

Just peel one out. Its only four bolts and two wires you have to disconnect. If you look earlier in the thread you'll see where I mounted the CB under the passenger seat.

I feel ya! I am almost completely deaf in my left ear... I had a hearing test again last weekend and the machine was off so I tested slightly worse than usual and I actually tested low enough that I could be barred from re-enlisting in the military... Luckily when I was retested on the higher quality machine I matched my previous results and all is well for now.

Well that was a PIA! I'm not sure I would recommend this project, But I'm only half done right now. I still need to do three more doors and possibly the roof. Although I had a hard time figuring out how to get the headliner down. I was a little nervous about the side air bags and messing with them. So I'll finish the doors and see how it goes. I will say that after doing the floor and the back it does seem a lot quieter.

Here is the truck striped of all of the interior.

Thanks if I do the roof I'll take all of the seats back out. But I'm still not sure if I will do it.

Yeah I'm sure pulling the engine would be easier.. :D

Gage if your thinking of doing that much then the floor isn't that much more work. The back wall and the doors are the hardest part.

how are you liking your STTs?

    grip off road?
    daily driving?
    winter conditions?
    rainy conditions?

    any complaints?

Bob they're good. I'd say off road they do really well. Winter and rainy conditions are good I've never had any issues with them. They're wearing good and I have around 30000 miles on them and there is plenty of tread left. They are a little noisy but I really don't have anything to compare them with. This is my second set but I do believe I'll get the MTR's next time. That is what I wanted when I bought these but they were a little to rich for me at the time. Plus I want to go up in size next time.

    awesome, great to hear...

i'm looking forward to better tire wear with the STTs

the MTRs are amazing off road, but they definitely wear fast

it'll be interesting to see the differences...

on this truck i went from...

    rugged trails>BFG AT>duratracs>MTRs>STT (up next)

i'll have some MTRs with pro comp 7089 17x8 wheels available for sale this spring if you wanted to try out some slightly used MTRs...it'll be much cheaper than buying new :D
