    They were a little stiff at first. I had to 700 psi in the upper chamber to get them off of the bump stops. I'm running 150 psi in the lower to keep the from bottoming out. I think they are going to work out great. After playing with them I like them a lot especially the way you can control the rebound. I can't really even tell that I removed my sway bar when I dampen them all of the way down. I'm just getting back from work so I'll continue to dial them in.

    Holy shit! 150 psi in the lower? Did you fill it with the strut on the truck or off? and are you running an 8" stroke or something else? I know with mine I put 140 psi in the lower once and then maxed out my regulator at 900 psi in the upper and the truck never moved up at all... I was running 120 psi in the lower and about 850 in the uppers to have a little rake. In Moab I dropped them down to 80 so I could put about 850 in the uppers and have 3+" of lift for better ground clearance though.

    After I tore mine apart to revalve them I have 95 psi in the lowers and then just leveled out the front I'd guess around 800 psi. I just kind of did it by hand.

    The reason why I asked about stroke length and whether you filled them while on the rig, is because with BAMF's kit, the struts are left extended about 2.5" at full stuff. So when we put say 90 psi in there (like the manual says) it's really more than that because that lower chamber is collapsed a bit smaller when the strut is extended. I don't know exactly what the difference is because I haven't tested it, but it could be something like 90psi for us equals 120 psi or possibly more since that lower chamber isn't very big.

    I have only ever filled them while on the rig so if you filled the lower before you put it on, then our numbers aren't comparable.

    Ok, just thought I would check so we are at least somewhat apples to apples. haha

    I have been talking with ORI lately and they have already changed a few things about the STX's since I got mine back in Nov so I wonder what your compression valve looks like.

    To valve the compression stiffer you add a set screw to plug one of the holes in the compression valve. In the manual the compression valve pictured has 7 holes, but I was under the impression there would be 6 (not sure if I found that on pirate or what) and when I opened it mine had 5 holes. I plugged one and need to plug another after my trip to the dunes. ORI said they now make them with just 3 holes in them since customers were complaining about them being too soft. He didn't say when they made the change though.

    Sounds like they work pretty good for n0rth still though and they were fine for me in the rocks, just too soft for the high speed stuff. So unless you are ripping up the dunes, they should treat you well:thumbsup:

    No way man. I'm sure you guys got it right. The experience of having done a set recently is huge.

    The challenge will be to be gentle on them for the first 500-1000 miles. Do you have an infrared thermometer? The rear will get hot until it breaks in a little. I was told to keep it below 180*F. A well broken in diff will run around 100-110 on sustained highway speeds.
