I would prefer the clamp like David has over the magnets. Welding a perfect 90° without having everything clamped down is hard (from what I’ve researched) due to the welding heating and cooling the metal, making it pull inwards. That clamp would keep it at a perfect right angle until it cools off, and I wouldnt think a magnet would be strong enough to achieve that.

Pretty sure it just has an additive to make seals swell so you don't get any leaks @LocoLocal

I should maybe get that then since the 05 are notorious for a head gasket leak.

I've thought about just doing mine prophylatically since the gasket is cheap. Its dealing with the damage it causes that's expensive. Then you don't have to worry...

Isn’t it a bitch and a half to replace? Like you have to tear the engine all apart.

Im trying to look it up now, not sure to be honest. I know when it actually leaks you have to take everything out to machine the heads and shit like that. Its why I rather just do the replacing instead of fixing. Let me see what I can find

Jody has a good video on weld sequencing on Welding Tips and Tricks.com also. Once you know the reasons for warpage, you can think through sequencing almost any welding project

I suggested that to him via text and he said he's gonna do that from now on. Then no need to make a cap for the open end of the tubing.

Holy crap. Didn't know this shit existed. I always thought a chopsaw only used crappy abrasive wheels.

I've read that once you go high milage, don't switch back to a regular oil. I don't see any reason not too. Just make to keep doing if you decide too

what if you roll over 1,000,000 miles and the gauge reads low mileage?
