Starting my thread on what I've done prior to and after my crash. Got this thing last year with 180,000 miles for $8,000. Texas truck its whole life, bought it from a Captain on my base and her husband had it since college. Super clean and everything works well. So....I T-boned a guy two weeks ago and pretty much smashed the front end. Was trying to decide on what to do, buy a 2nd Gen or keep this one and get it fixed. The wife and I hate car payments and have one on our 14 4Runner, so that was a major point in deciding to keep the Taco. So here I am, waiting on my body guy to get the frame all straightened back out. At this point I am looking at throwing some aftermarket parts on it and fixing it up the way i want it. I've got to replace most front end body parts including: radiator, ac condenser, bumper, headlights, side markers, turn signals, fender, hood, antenna, passenger cv axle, and it also has a valve cover gasket leak. I am going to try and document as much as i can. This forum is great and all the guys on the 1st Gen side has an amazing breadth of knowledge about these trucks. Looking forward to wrenching a little bit. DSC_0199.jpg

So this is what she looked like after she was rebuilt. Added an ARB front bumper because it was the same price as an OEM one. The worse thing about the wreck and subsequent rebuild, is that the new paint on the hood, front right fender and passenger door, all of course look nicer than the rest of the truck.
