Alright guys i know there are a lot of threads just like this and I've tried to read them all but i still just cant make up my mind. So I've spent about 5 days going back and forth between these suspension choices. I'm pretty much on the fence between saying **** it and going mid-travel
Icon 2.5” extended travel coil overs
    Icon uniball upper control arms
Icon 2.0 extended travel rear shocks for use with aftermarket lift leaf pack(i have dakars leaf pack)
    Icon spanner wrench
23” SS Kevlar reinforced rear brake lines
    CA State Sales Tax
    Total = $2416.98
Or since this is a brand new truck and I don't plan on absolutely beating it going with the 6112 billies front, 5160 billies rears, SPC LR UCA's, and keep the dakars because i already have them and saving an extra $1000 for new wheels.
My off roading experience is fairly new but I do trips to Ocotillo Wells, Glamis and Pismo a couple times a year and would love to finally have a vehicle that i can romp around up there. I also just moved and live 40 minutes away from Hollister Hills and really want to start going there alot and do some light/learning how wheelin. So i'm asking basically is the more expensive kit worth it if this is my DD and I want to get into wheelin a little bit with it. I know for a fact that i will be keeping the dakars because i already ordered them so will the 5160s be alright with a 2.75 lift in the rear? Also is the 400 dollar difference between the Icon uniball UCA and the SPC LR UCA justifiable? Thank you!!

Bilstein/Icon 2" suspension lift with wheelers 5 leaf springs, 7-pin relocate through bumper, bfg KO2s, redline hood struts, immryo mirror relocation, stubby antenna, dipped emblem, heated mirrors, Jason trek cap, led fogs, debadged
I've heard the icon control arms are overrated but their coilovers and shocks are top notch. I have icons rears and like them a lot. They also happen to be rebuildable, so the long term cost of ownership for one versus the other is about the same. 6112s are unproven and under-reviewed so you'd be taking a gamble, but I have faith that bilstein wouldn't put out a coilover without properly testing it and their 5100 series shocks are legendary. If you plan to hold onto your truck for a long time, I'd get the icon suspension with LR or TC control arms. Hopefully someone chimes in about the dakar/5160 compatibility cause I'm curious too.

The Billy's are the same shock body as the Baja and Pro. When I measured my rears they were about 1.5" longer than stock. (Pics in the Baja thread link in my sig) So I'm pretty sure they will be over extended by over an inch with a 2.75" rear lift.

Thanks for the advice. So if I went the cheaper route I would have to go the OME set up? I just see the springs being packaged in that kit together so I suppose the OME rears extend enough to support them?

I'm sure, but it wouldn't have to be OMEs, just a rear shock that is suitable for that lift height. What year is your truck? The rear shock mount was apparently changed in 2015 and there are fitment issues with the large body inverted mount on the rear OME shocks on 2015 models. Some get it to work, others have contact with the shock body. Billy 5100s come in 0-2" lift rear and 3-4" lift rear, placing you in a bit of no-mans land. Toytec BOSS rear shocks spec 1-3" of lift, though their quality doesn't seem to be on par with OME.

So it's been awhile but I have come to the decision that I will pair my Dakars with
    http://www.ridefox.com/product.php?...ocks&year=2015-2005&position=Rear&m=truck&p=2
The 2-3 inch lift ones, LR UCAs and Fox 2.5 non res coilovers up front. Im hoping to stay around a 2-2.5 lift at Max so I think I'm going to be taking a leaf out of the Dakars (not sure which one heard either 3rd leaf or overload) I'm hoping that does the trick. $1975 OTD seems pretty reasonable to me seeing how was going to spend 1500 on a non rebuildable 6112 set up =)

I just installed Fox 2.5s up front and I'm hoping to do the rear 2.0s with Dakars when I have another off day. Running the bro lean until then haha. Did you take out the third leaf?

I did not take off the third leaf but I do have some rake, I also upgraded the coils to the 700lb because I added a plate bumper, so I'm going to have to add a bit more preload so it sits leveled

I've called a few places and they all said the 5160s don't have enough travel to run with the Dakars. The extended travel 5100s would work though.

Thanks for the heads up! I ended up with wheelers leaf packs cause I didn't want extreme dakar lift in the rear.
