TEMPORARILY! ​

First of all, I just want to say Thank you to all those of you who have supported The Taco Garage from the start. Second, but just as important, I want to make it clear that..

I AM NOT WRITING THIS AS AN EXCUSE, WE MADE MISTAKES, PERIOD.

We have made some mistakes that we should have been able foresee and avoid. I am writing this simply to try to explain what is going on and what we plan to do to fix it. I also don’t want or expect you to read a full book about my fuck ups so I’ll keep it short (ish)

We are falling behind on orders at an increasing rate. This is due to a couple of things, first is the amount of orders which has been constantly increasing (THANK YOU) but that’s fixable by simply working more, which brings me to the second reason – inventory - our increased demand means that we have been asking more of our suppliers and we didn’t manage that correctly so we are out of stock on some items that we sold already, rookie mistake, I am making this a priority.
We also haven’t been able to get to all our emails, calls, texts and social media DMs as quickly as we would like, again this is in part due to the sheer amount of them and the fact that because were behind on orders, we try to focus on what we need to get those out instead, again rookie mistake, communication is key.

What’s next...

For starters, we are going to be TEMPORARILY shutting down the store. This same announcement will be made on the site and the shut down will go into effect by the end of the week. There’s a few good reasons why we are going to do this and I am glad to share them with you, its for the best. First, it will allow us to focus on fulfilling our past orders and respond to emails and other customer requests. Also, our current store platform is basic at best, it served its purpose relatively well for the launch of our store but we’ve reached a point where it no longer provides the services we need. We are upgrading to a platform that will allow much better tracking of inventory not only to get a better grip of current inventory but because we plan on constantly making more and more Taco products available to our customers. Our new platform will also have better communication tools which will allow us to more easily communicate things like shortages or delays. As many of you probably have seen by now, our emails commonly end up in junk mail boxes or are never received, tracking info is not readily available and order status is not easy to follow. We know these things can and SHOULD be better, so we are making the move, our new and improved customer experience will be available soon.

Good luck with this venture mate! Only a small hiccup, but I'm sure yall will overcome it soon enough. Glad to see you being transparent and up front about the issues at hand, and your plan to resolve them and come out better than before. I've done business with you in the past and was very happy with the service and product quality, hopefully once you're back up and running I'll be a returning customer....that DMM is on my wishlist.
