UPDATE: As of 10/07/19 Only a few orders are pending, most likely you ordered a keychain if your order is pending. Those are ordered but we are out of stock for now. Everything else should have shipped already, if you ordered something other than taht and have not received it let me know.
thetacogarage.com is open again with a limited selection of products but more will be added regularly.

TEMPORARILY!
First of all, I just want to say Thank you to all those of you who have supported The Taco Garage from the start. Second, but just as important, I want to make it clear that..

I AM NOT WRITING THIS AS AN EXCUSE, WE MADE MISTAKES, PERIOD.

We have made some mistakes that we should have been able foresee and avoid. I am writing this simply to try to explain what is going on and what we plan to do to fix it. I also don’t want or expect you to read a full book about my fuck ups so I’ll keep it short (ish)

We are falling behind on orders at an increasing rate. This is due to a couple of things, first is the amount of orders which has been constantly increasing (THANK YOU) but that’s fixable by simply working more, which brings me to the second reason – inventory - our increased demand means that we have been asking more of our suppliers and we didn’t manage that correctly so we are out of stock on some items that we sold already, rookie mistake, I am making this a priority.
We also haven’t been able to get to all our emails, calls, texts and social media DMs as quickly as we would like, again this is in part due to the sheer amount of them and the fact that because were behind on orders, we try to focus on what we need to get those out instead, again rookie mistake, communication is key.

What’s next...

For starters, we are going to be TEMPORARILY shutting down the store. This same announcement will be made on the site and the shut down will go into effect by the end of the week. There’s a few good reasons why we are going to do this and I am glad to share them with you, its for the best. First, it will allow us to focus on fulfilling our past orders and respond to emails and other customer requests. Also, our current store platform is basic at best, it served its purpose relatively well for the launch of our store but we’ve reached a point where it no longer provides the services we need. We are upgrading to a platform that will allow much better tracking of inventory not only to get a better grip of current inventory but because we plan on constantly making more and more Taco products available to our customers. Our new platform will also have better communication tools which will allow us to more easily communicate things like shortages or delays. As many of you probably have seen by now, our emails commonly end up in junk mail boxes or are never received, tracking info is not readily available and order status is not easy to follow. We know these things can and SHOULD be better, so we are making the move, our new and improved customer experience will be available soon.

I'm about to order the grill with aftermarket garnish from Tacogarage. Can anyone with this setup whose from rainy climate (i.e. PNW) to share your experience on the usability/durability during rainy months? I live in Seattle and i don't want to deal with any TSS issue during 6 months out of the year when we get that typical Seattle weather. Thanks much guys!

One thing - those videos out there on you tube - some of them suck. I mean OK as a starting guide, but they have pin clips being pulled that don't need to be, all the screws taken out and not put back in, heck one guy doesn't reuse the captive nuts for the sensor. Wow. Anyway, just getting that out there.

Not sure if you still need an answer, but AJ installed mine and we had a crazy amount of rain in San Diego for a few storms last winter. The TSS only freaked out twice when I went through some deep puddles that sprayed at lot of water up in front of the garnish which only lasted a few seconds and then it went back to normal. The dense water interupted the rader waves briefly. Outside of that, his product has been perfect for me, even during heavy steady rain.

Man it started raining yesterday on the east side around 3PM and didn't stop until 3pm today. I mean a LOT of hard rain. No issues at all. All over the place between Monroe and Issaquah. Been installed a week now but I don't anticipate problems.

Received my 2nd TRD Pro replica grille from @FreshMexicanTaco, and the Taco Garage, after giving my first one to another local member after concerns with the sensor TSB. Tried the stock grille with black SR bezel and just couldn’t handle it. Ordered it Sunday night, got it today. Quick turnaround, better quality than the first one, and after taking this damn grille off so many times, instal was a breeze. Thanks again AJ! Keep up the quality work!
