How are you doing the configuration on the website? That's pretty cool.

Its all ran through shopify. There are a few apps and add ons you can throw on to your site to spice it up a little and the product configurator is one of them. Still alot of work and some coding knowledge but its not too bad.

Figured I would throw out an update on where things are at with the shop. The LCD in my printer has developed some dead spots so I can't print anything without getting little holes all the way through them; I hope to get that fixed sometime next week. As for new products, I have to do some redesigning on the tundra knob but I hope to get it finished up next week, and the new Tacoma knob I showed a couple days ago should have a prototype printed out in a couple days. Now for what I think are the more exciting things. I've made an Instagram for the shop @thetacoshopusa so you can follow that if you want to stay updated on the new stuff I come up with. As for that new stuff, next week I have a few days off work so I hope to get the internal RGB LED's going inside of the taco knobs and get a video of it glowing up on here, the shop, and Instagram. I also have a friend with a 2013 jeep wrangler (automatic) and I'm getting with her to see if I can make some knobs for jeeps as well.

Also, I've been thinking. My parents got a new tundra a little while back and it has a safe inside of the console with a 4 number combination lock. I know they make these for Tacomas as well, but what would you all think about a safe inside of the console that opened via a fingerprint sensor located either on a shift knob or somewhere over to the left of the steering wheel where that useless little cubby is? It would be able to be opened with a key as well should you lose power or have wet hands or something, and it would be integrated cleanly; I wouldn't sell it if it looked bad or was unsecure. What do you all think? I think it sounds cool but I would have to have a good amount of interest before I start messing around because those safes are expensive lol.

I'm also thinking up some cool ways of putting flat or curved (depending on its use/location) LCD displays in some cool places like shift knobs or the little cubby off to the side to display either information or just a cool graphic/animation. I like the idea of having a little pacman eat dots or having an animated taco drive a tacoma playing on loop on the back of a shift knob :p Just thinking out loud to show you all that I have plans on down the road. For now though my priority is definitely getting the printer fixed and getting the tundra knobs finalized, as well as getting some posts up on the instagram page, though I probably wont be advertising too much until I get the printer fixed; I would like to be able to actually keep up with sales should they come, and I would like to have more than zero posts should someone stumble across the page prior to its advertisement. Thanks as always :).
