The "taco that still needs a name" build thread

Im moving back to college tomorrow and moving home at the end of last year I had the truck PACKED will all my stuff. Since I now have the camper top I knew I’d be able to fit more stuff but stacking doesn’t always work out so I decided to put a deck to separate the bed from the camper top to better utilize the space. Just 3/4” OSB sandwiched by 1 1/4”x 1 1/4” 3/16” thick angle iron. Got it all how I liked it and pulled it back apart. Angle iron was painted black and plywood was wrapped in outdoor carpet. Scrap plywood was cut down to use as slide outs as well.

 

This is one sexy beast!

Ditch lights mounted but not wired. Ignore the pitting on the hood.

@Taco Nation whoops those won’t work for my 18 Taco. My lack of reading sure stunk on this one lol. I have seen @mesojdm work on taillights I guess I will have to keep an eye out for one of his customs at a later time

 

Got these Johnny’s packaged up and shipped of to get rebuilt. It put a hurting on the wallet but I can’t wait to get them back.

I need to have the whole truck redone. Looks awesome!

 

My old tint was in terrible shape, it had bubbles and was peeling off at the top. I'm so glad I got it redone, although I wish I would have gotten darker.

 

What did you go with?

 

Went with 5%, old tint was ~15%. The rear windows with the 5% over factory is around 2% I believe and I really like it. I wish I would have gone 2% in the front as well

 

So I started collecting patches. I have a ton more coming but one specifically I’m super excited about and it actually can be seen on most of these posts.
