I did the email chat with the dealer...

    James A. said:

Welcome to Medved Autoplex, where everybody said, “Go to Medved!” My name is James A., how can I help you?

    John said:

    Is this still for sale?!

    James A. said:

I would be glad to look into a vehicle for you today!

    James A. said:

Are you referring to the white 2016 Chevrolet Colorado Z71, with the Tacoma Eater decal?

    John said:

    Stock number CV2181T!

    James A. said:

Glad that we are on the same page, and its a really nice custom Colorado that includes navigation !

    James A. said:

I am showing that the Colorado is listed as available, however we need make sure that it's not already in a pending sale. What is the best email to send that verification, once gathered?

    John said:

That thing is hilarious!!! I wondered if it sold. Gotta be crazy to drive that thing around! Roar!

    James A. said:

It is a really nice aggressive model! What email is best to send over the availability on the Colorado?

    John said:

    No thanks!

    James A. said:

Alright we can also give you a quick call or text with the availability. Is there a number we can reach you at?

    James A. said:

It seems we may have been disconnected. Please feel free to chat back in. I would love to further assist you. Take care for now.

    James A. said:

Ahahaha! Man you guys chattin' with the dealer are hilarious! I got out of my Tacoma this morning, parked 30ft from the "Tacoma Eater" and snapped those pics... I was laughing to myself the whole time! These guys at Medved gotta be wondering why all these people are dissing on the "Tacoma Eater" today.

This guy is probably gonna come confront me next time I go to the coffee shop!

I personally thought the Colorado I tested had plenty of get up. Felt faster than the Silverado 5.3 V8 which also seemed rev high and shift often (and I thought V8's didn't have this happen). Power felt better than the Tacoma. I still prefer Toyota but the Colorado was more pleasant to drive IMO.

It must be because everybody here especially older people want American made, I know tacos are built in texas but a lot of people still have the mentality for when it started. If you check craigslist is hard as shit to find anything besides GM,Ford or dodge and their little cousins. If you happen to find something different is extra expensive anything Honda, Toyota or Nissan.

Curious what they didn't like about it enough to include it in the article. They compared suspension aspects of the TRD Pro but made no mention of the Taco transmission. Maybe they haven't driven it yet?

I would be curious if any automotive journals out there mention the Tacoma TSB. The Gen 3 was roasted by a lot of reviews for the sluggish acceleration. LOL This is a funny vid of a guy driving a gen 3 for the first time
