Imagine how shitty the ride would be if our light trucks were sprung for hauling lumber. We'd need a new forum to contain all the bitching.

Absolute truth. And honestly....plenty of people still bitch about the ride anyway. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that so many people who have never owned a truck before are suddenly buying them. Then they don't understand why "it doesn't handle like my 3 Series" or "it doesn't get the gas mileage of my Civic" or "it doesn't ride like my Accord".

Trucks were better when truck people bought them.
Now get off my lawn! :annoyed:

All you need is progressive rate springs. Oh! Never mind I forgot Tacoma is still using leaf springs and solid axle.

Seen a Ridgeline carrying about 5 sheets of plywood in the bed today, with the tailgate up. The sheets did not happen to be new. No idea how long they was, but they hung over the tail gate about a foot or two. The truck also had some kind of thule like rack on the bed.

I'm thinking it was a work truck!

This is why TW can't have nice things. Can we get some adults in here?

    "Definition of truck
    (Entry 1 of 4)

1: a wheeled vehicle for moving heavy articles: such as

b: an automotive vehicle with a short chassis equipped with a swivel for attaching a trailer and used especially for the highway hauling of freightalso : a truck with attached trailer"

I hate to break to all, but it is a truck by definition. I raced it's minivan version today and smoked it:D It looked like two overweight elephants running to get one corn stalk.

What's the minivan version? Do you ever take your taco to a drag strip? Would be super cool.

One of my neighbors has 2 Ridgelines in their driveway. Just got the new one last year.

I actually see him use it for housework / yard work and as a daily driver.

I’m sure they are capable trucks. I actually looked at one some years ago. Rode pretty nice.

just couldn’t get past the looks. Lack of selectable 4wd was a factor as well, but the looks killed it for me.

A quick trip out east with one of the dogs for a quite cigar & brown liquor before the busy weekend activities, could have made it in a Ridgeline (barely)

....heck, I might have made it with RWD!!

Sorry to disappoint. But this is the 3rd gen forum. So there's always potential to bigger and better things.
