Decisions, decisions.

How much more do I want to mod the Tonka? I'd really like to go Full Retard (despite the warnings not to); Off-road bumpers, roof racks, Rigid lights sticking out of everywhere, Magnuson supercharger, kick-ass audio system , etc.

But what's the cost-benefit here? I don't go on off-road adventures all that often. But I do like the car/truck show scene and such enhancements might be beneficial in that arena. And the pride of driving a bad-ass (or at least bad-ass looking) truck. #EgoProblems

My truck is also my DD. It's got a few mods already and looks nice the way it is. It's practical. Is spending all that $$$ really worth it for what really amounts to just cosmetic changes and bragging rights?

I have one and love it

I like the product, but be aware, the fitment is not quite perfect. I ended up cutting and trimming on each end a little bit and adding a few soft pads to stop rubbing issues that caused bare metal to be exposed. You should check to see if you have any issues in the near future to fix any problems you might have.

 

Another little addition but more cosmetic than anything. The bracket is from Bulletproof Fabricating and the shackle is an Amazon special. I also had some washers with a 1-inch hole powder coated black and inserted on either side of the bracket so the shackle didn't rattle back and forth.

Since there is only one bracket and shackle, my wife says it reminds her of Sarge from Beetle Bailey with his one tooth that sticks out.
