The Things Dreams and Jokes Are Made Of

I wanted to start a thread for all of the random Tacomas and / or Toyota trucks I see driving around Los Angeles and on CL for my area. It's kind of fun for me so if you're anything like me, then you'll enjoy updated pictures of the kinds of trucks that many daydreams and jokes could develop from. Basically I like anything that is out of the ordinary or funky yet clean - or not so clean, but extra funky. One thing about it - yeah I live in a largely Hispanic area and a lot of these trucks are owned by people who are Hispanic and yes they (the trucks) may seem way out there at times, yet I'd like to keep the jokes that might develop from this thread respectful to all the hard working people that I live, go to school, teach, and am friends with. That said, let's begin!

The one that started it all (well at least got me thinking about making a thread like this):







Nice low-ride I'd rock it if I could afford another car (must have a sense of humor of course). I think it makes a statement and it's pretty clean looking.

Next up, the "I wish I was a little bit taller" (wish I was a baller) 4 Runner from Long Beach, CA:





I think this one could do with a nasty 6" lift and super swampers. I am more of a desert truck guy (when money comes my way), but I think the ridiculous lift / tire combo would suit this city road warrior. Some big potholes in Long Beach in case you're not familiar...

Next up, the clean x2 blue Taco de San Pedro:





I doubled back around the block to take a picture or two of this truck it was so clean. Hard to tell from this angle, but it has dual exhaust!

Back to CL:

Some say "Drive it like you stole it." No hood? I can deal with that. Little bodywork needed? No problem. Weight reducing bed mod (I know tires went there )? Cool beans. But the interior - this guy took that saying seriously.







Next up, a touch of class. But really, how do people from coast to coast (these are popular mods in Maine where I grew up so I can say that lol) think that these kinds of mods look good?

Classy chrome fender flares, sexy pleather hood bra, that plastic visor to keep all that pesky fresh air from messing with the twenty four year old must of the interior, and my least / most favorite of all: the fake side vent decals keeping those brakes extra cool while looking just as cool at the same time.





Alright, last but certainly not least: Perfect & Perfect







So... the motor and the transmission must be the only things perfect about this truck? Lol
