Ah bummer. I know this moisture was good for the fires and all. But this full on winter crap kinda sucks. Hope you can make the rest of the trip work out:fingerscrossed:. Still sounds like fun.

FML. Construction at my dam went into apeshit mode a week early, so I've taken my leave of The Tour and I'm on my way to Clark Fork.
Didn't even get the truck in 4WD.

It was good to meet everyone and hang out for a couple days. Let's do it again soon.

    Here's some crappy pictures.

The white truck in front of Frank in the last pic? It was the pilot truck for the construction zone. They said it would be ~2 hours until we could get through, and we wouldn't be able to get back out that night.

Yeah I was hoping to meet you guys as well, everyone started rolling their eyes when I told them I am an engineer too haha.

Everything was going pretty well, other than missing out on Independence. They were going to head towards Nye instead and do the Ben Burr (?) trail. Also, our comms were shit, over half of our CBs were basically untuned. We made it work though.

It was definitely looking like snow as I was heading out though, be prepared.

New cables and mounting hardware for the CB antenna, back on and in tune. New aux cord for the radio on. Rear diff and T case fluid changed. Tomorrow I do the front diff and check the rest of the fluids and finalize packing.

Im no stranger to crunch time prep...but doing all this in an apartment parking lot is a new and really shitty thing for me, especially when its 35 and snowing out....

But i realized this is what Im stuck with living in jackson
