We definitely recommend for every lift at 3 inches but the Aluma series are extended travel which most extended traveled coilovers will require aftermarket ucas

After rocking this kit for a few thousand miles it is a stiff ride, I have the 650lb coils with a 170lb steel bumper on the front end. Thing rides pretty damn stiff and makes a loud thud/slam coming off speed bumps ( I've changed and double checked my whole front end, bushings and all). It is seeming to be impossible to get a smooth ride with any set up, which makes no since because I've been in other trucks with the same set ups suspension wise and they are SOOOO smooth and nice

Maybe running to much preload and the shocks are topping out? I didn't have ext travel so I put a .25" spacer on top to reduce my preload for the lift I wanted, unconventional and probably ill advised, but worked for me

I may give that a try, I dont see how it would hurt and I could take preload off

Could be a over adjustment on the coilover. If you want, shoot me a pm and we can chat more in detail about the setup you have along with specifics.

    Thanks

Anyone have tips for adjusting the collars? I cant get these budge
I soaked these overnight w/ WD-40, then hit em again in the morning. Even tried Dumondtech chain lube to get some lubricity.
Truck jacked, wheels off, bent the spanner and broke it. Put a 5/16" rod in with a 2' extended breaker, didnt budge either.

I have the old style coilovers on '17 DCSB - Center of wheel<>fender dims are 23.5 (driver) 23.75 (passenger)
It rides stiff as hell and is too raked, I'd like to get back down to 23" or 22.75"

Saw that Toytec is doing 15% off on all Boss kits, might be pulling the trigger on an Aluma setup.

Try a spring compressor, may help to get the tension off?

How rough do your trucks ride? Is there a break in period?
Boss coilovers w/ red #650, hub to fender is 23" both sides. Road cracks and bumps are jarring, with potholes and ruts the wheel drop rebound is fast and harsh.
Compared to my last truck; '11 Sierra leveled with 5100's and that felt great. Thought I would step it up and go coilovers with the new truck, but it rides worse than a cheap spacer kit.
    Anyone have the same issue?

I got the AAL instead of the block, and they are fabricated by Deaver. my Boss kit has the 700lb springs, but I got the 2.5s for the front. I haven't had a chance to install yet. Hoping to do it this weekend.

Truck is a 2017 DCSB 4WD V6. Changes from stock; coilovers and rear shocks. (No bumper, winch, armor etc)

I did get the coilovers to move, backed off 2(Driv) 3(Pass) rotations down to get 23" center of hub to fender. Nearly yanked the truck off the stands pulling on the breaker bar!
I can take some pics when I get off work.

Can you get replacement 700lb coils for the 2.0 boss coilovers? I have the 650 but think I may need the 700s to reduce my preload since my front bumper alone is 170lbs @Toytec Lifts

To those of you that have the boss set up, how many inches of thread do you have showing? I have 650lb coils and 2" showing. Trying to see if I need to get the 700lb coils and swap them. My truck is riding like a dumb truck still and toytec said they can send me just the coils to swap out.

I have the boss aluma 2.5’s up front with 700lb. Been on there for only couple hundred miles. But compared to the factory bilsteins with my readilift it rides a little better now, but does feel better planted and takes bumps a lot better. The rear I’m running. Their boss 2.0’s and the AAL
