I lowered the coils to only 1" of preload so WAY less than how toytec ships them out and it softened up some but I am still disappointed in it for the price. I have the 650lb coils with a 170lb bumper up front, no winch. It's a stiff ride to say the least

Thanks for responding. They seem like a good option considering what you get. But the stuff ride, that’s a big deal.

IMO I'd stay away from these, I am really bummed with my truck now. The ride is so rough and jarring, kicking myself that I didnt go Bilstein.

My buddy has them on his second gen. Opted for 700# springs and he is running SPC arms. Truck looks and rides awesome. No rubbing after alignment with positive 2.4 caster. He has not been off-road to check rubbing their. Rubbed like crazy before alignment. Same with my 3 gen. I rubbed like crazy, did the CMC, stopped rubbing and then got an alignment. I don't know if I would not have rubbed with just an alignment for onroad use. We will be doing CMC soon so he doesn't rub off-road. 285/70r17. Let's see if I have a picture.

Crapp, I accidentally deleted the post...

Damnnn truck looks solid! Can't wait for mines to come in. Do happen to know if he adjusted the coils prior installing or just installed them out of the box? What set up did he go with the rear? Thank you for posting pics!

I do because I installed it and helped him adjust it
-We installed it at the set height toytec ships them at.
-drove for a couple weeks (we don't drive much)
-re-adjusted to a full 3" lift height after it had settled. 05-15 Tacomas Measure 20" in the front and 21.5 in the rear.
    16-20 Measure 21" front and 22" rear.
    He drives a 2011.
    - After adjustment to 23 inches in the front (full 3" of lift) we let it settle for a couple more weeks and then he got an alignment.
-We did the adjustments on the vehicle. Don't remove the set screw all the way (only back it off a little bit), and order a hole punch that fits your coil hole to use as your tool (we broke the tool that comes with it. It's not very stout). Also, you HAVE TO lube the hek out of it by spraying down the threads with something like wd40 or liquid wrench while you adjust. Toytec does not recommend you adjust them on the vehicle.

That is the exact same kit we installed but he added the toytec rear aluminum bump stops, he did the toytec single aal, and he also didn't get the new toytec 2.0 aluminum ifp, he has the old style normal shock. They didn't have that available when he ordered it.

Not the Aluma series but so far it drives better than great. I just installed . Picked it up on their Black Friday 15% off. Waiting for the next Black Friday to buy some tires!

I just had some ToyTec 2.0 Aluma Series installed on my 2020 Tacoma TRD Sport and UCA. I have right round 600 miles on them and I'm noticing a clunk sound, right when I take my foot of the brake and if I hit the brake again I feel it at my feet. I took it back to the shop that did the install they put it back up on the rack and said that everything was torque proper. They took it for a test drive and told me that it was my coils shifting. Not sure if I have to much preload on the coil. I have 22 7/8" from the center of hub to bottom of finder. I no that it can crank the coil down to get to 23" I'm just afraid it's going to make the clunking sound worse.
Does anyone have any insight on this.

Mine does it a little too. It's preload & new springs that need to settle imo. I'm getting my retorque tomorrow. Did you use the sway bar relocation kit? You try driving with the sway bar off? Those measurements are about the same as mine 23". I doubt its your UCAs. Check the wheel bearings & make sure your spindles aren't bent. Jack it up & look in there for any evidence of rubbing.

Ya I have the sway bar relocation kit on. I did have it at the 23" but the ride was really stiff, so i dropped them back down to 22 7/8" and actually the clunking noise wasn't as load as when it was 23". I'm just going to ride it like that for a while and see if the springs settle in.

I just installed the Aluma series 2.0 on my 2017 (same as nailths above). The rear seems super harsh when hitting bumps. I did the add a leaf with U bolts and shims and whenever I go over any sort of bump, there's a loud clunk upon impact. The lift has been in the truck for four days.

I just made a thread about it a little bit ago. Looking for any insight on if this is just normal due to my rear end having no weight at all and it being much stiffer, or bc I did something wrong on install.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/question-about-aal-suspension-lift.668631/ Here's my original post.

    Any insight would be great

**UPDATE: Turns out my rear shock had no gas pressure in it at all. Had to buy a new shock and will have to send in the old one to Toytech to be analyzed for a claim.

I have ToyTec 2.0 Aluma Series coilovers and I have a really bad squeaking noise every time i go over a bump, only on the driver side. I have lubed up everything and steel get squeaking. I've narrowed it down to the coilover.
    Any suggestions?
