Must be nice to live such a sheltered life that a delay in getting a new truck is considered traumatic. Shit happens, get over it and wait for your truck to be delivered to the dealer.

Last month, I drove a similar distance for delivery and had to drive back a week later due to dealer error. I had rented a 1-way car and hotel for the failed pickup. In response, I asked for $700 off the price and they agreed to it. I guess your deal is already souring, but I wonder what some friendly understanding for their unexpected problem and request for a similar discount would do.

I also wonder based on warranty or potential Platinum warranty if you purchased one: if your deal already started, do they owe you a rental car or other reimbursements now regardless of good-will based offers?

Also for the record as of July 7, you could still get 3.99% on a 4-year loan.

I had a buddy that custom ordered a car and unbeknownst to him it had fallen off the delivery truck. The dealer took it to a shop, repaired and repainted it, sold it to him as new and never told him. He didn't find out until MUCH later when he had problem after problem after problem and someone in the dealership's shop told him. Funny aside, they told him the reason it was late was because the delivery truck broke down.

    So... good luck.

@tacoma_ca Yeah worth asking I suppose. Gas def adds up! The lowest they would go for me was 5.4, even with 13k down and a food credit score. I even tried to go through a credit union and their lowest like like 6.6 or something.

@McHale I mean that’s grounds for a lawsuit. If my truck did fall off, i would think that they would be legally obligated to tell me. Seeing how they could get sued for selling a smashed car as new. They have a good rep and are all church goers, I don’t think they would hide something that insane.

@crazysccrmd Bro you live in Colorado Springs. That’s like calling the kettle black lol. And yeah this has been pretty shitty for me, I literally have no car and am fed all these false delivery dates and sus responses. I do think they know more than they are telling me.

What does Colorado Springs have anything to do with this?

I get that it’s annoying but it’s far from the end of the world.

@crazysccrmd just saying it’s a small town ;) Ur right it’s not the end of the world, I’ve just had a bad year with having my 4runner totaled by some asshole and a bunch of other things. This just seems like the cherry on top of the cake, like nothing can go my way. I’ve never bought a new car and I thought the process was going to be a lot different than it was. I literally had to reach out in these groups to get updates on my truck bcus the dealer I was working with sucks ass and was always “out of the office” and would never get back to me. And it’s not like I live down the street from this dealer, they are 2 hours away. The day I went there to pick up the truck bcus they said it was there was a complete waste and I signed paperwork and put all my savings down for a truck that is Mia.

I’m sure the wink means you’re joking about it being a small town. This is the biggest city I’ve ever lived in and it sucks. Needs about 400k fewer people and maybe it’d be ok. Your situation sucks for sure it just seems a far cry from “worst thing ever in life” kind of suck.

@crazysccrmd I havent been there since I was about 10. I guess the California exodus really did impact Colorado.
We’ll see how it plays out, nothing i can do I guess.

Just wait and see if they come through in the next few days. I suspect all will be fine. If you don’t get it or it is somehow damaged then deal with it.

I just can't believe someone would sign paperwork without the vehicle even being there, ready to drive away.
    This is hilarious.

@Phlogiston you know what’s hilarious is it was at a TOYOTA DEALERSHIP. A place where you would expect legit customer service. That’s hilarious. Oh and they didn’t tell me my truck wasn’t there until after I signed the paperwork… so there’s that too. Super fun
