I believe it’s a cold spray to immediately cool down an injury.

Funny you use this analogy. I bought an Rtic cooler last summer. First use it was in the back of my wife's SUV. Water all over the place. Bad seal. Purchased online, but not directly from Rtic. Asked about a warranty fix. No such luck. I would have been better off going with a yeti.

My 2 cents- I bought an RTIC cooler every bit as good as Yeti. I despise Yeti as a brand due to their political stance on things. Anti-gun Anti-NRA. When a company throws their opinion out there they stand to loose customers. Besides their goods are ridiculously priced.

Pretty sure RTIC is just the yeti guys ex wife that got the rights to design the cooler in the divorce. I think it's almost identical, both in looks and in performance

Piracy is an issue no doubt. But there are plenty of businesses out there that come up a round brick and expect a Nobel Prize.

A few years ago a US company developed the Grabar handle for the JK Wrangler A-pillar. It was a great idea, well made, but the price of $199 was a bit steep. Worse, the thing was a pain to install. Nevertheless, there was a need in the market and the product took off within the Jeep community. Whenever a customer complained that it was a pain in the ass to install, the manufacturer would blame Jeep for poor build quality, or the customers for lack of dexterity, instead of solving the issue.

Within months the Chinese figured out that by simply changing the tread on the bolts, the installation became a breeze; and priced their improved product at $80. Within a year the knockoff were outselling the original Grabars not just because they were cheaper, but also easier to install, and easier to deal with the seller. Today you can buy a pair on Amazon for $20.

There’s a wild variance in plastic types as far as durability and longevity, chemical resistance, and so on, which is why many products built out of plastics appear to have such a wide variance in price between manufacturers. Traction boards and snorkels are the best examples of this.

That being said, at least we have reviews to go on.
