The Ultimate Beater Thread

My friend's stepdad picked up an Isuzu Trooper (mid 70's model IIRC) for $700. Yes. Seven-hundred. Needed a few hours of labor put into it (a few really means only a few) and it was running like new. And it *supposedly* gets in the mid-thirties in terms of MPGs.

But now there's a steel tube bumper and a 4500 winch on it...and I must give it props 'cause it has saved my truck from a bad situation. (I was stuck really badly)

 

My bike is my beater.

I like that tercel even if it is a little rough.

 

I could get an 05 cobalt for 5 grand. That's no beater. I would go for any honda with a stick shift for a beater though.

I picked up this truck for my beater truck for free. Asked the guy what he was doing with it; he said nothing and handed me the title. I'm making it into a fast & loud ratrod right now and will restore it one day.
