You will need to adjust so mark off on a wall or something where your old lights were

Yep. As mentioned they will need some adjusting vertically, horizontal should be ok. An easy way I find to do this, is do one at a time if possible. Swap one new assembly, wall test to compare to existing stock assembly and adjust the new beam vertically to match the stock one. Then swap the stock one and adjust to match the adjusted one. Removes lots of guess work and having a precise repeatable position of the truck to repeat the test is not necessary. Otherwise tape on a wall at the cut offs, swap lights and adjust the cut offs to match the tape lines of the stock units with the truck sitting in the same position for initial marking and final adjusting.

Lol, looks like the connector has seen better days. What are you using the CaliRaised connectors for if you are running halogen fogs?

I went back to stock fogs I had caliraised pods but the brackets started to rust and had condensation. I was using the adapter but not now the light works but sometimes goes out so I think the factory connector might be bad

I had to replace mine on that side 3 times. My best guess is as the water tends to build up on the side of the road when it's raining, driving through it splashes water with enough force to get into the connector. My 4Runner came with a plastic shroud over the back of the passenger foglight.

Can our factory wiring harness handle the additional wattage draw of the Osram Super Bright 110/90W bulbs?

I realize they won't be as bright as when using the auxiliary harness, but I plan to wire my own, and have other projects on the list first....

God dang that is terrible on all levels. I have CaliRaised side shooter ditch lights and hope they last. I had little condensation for a couple months but that went away and they've been fine for the year I've had them.

It appears I didn't update the best stock wattage bulb recommendations in the thread after the exhaustive testing that was done. I've updated the stock wattage recommendations now to only include the best bulbs, Philips Racing Vision +150 for best low beam, but reduced output high beam and GE Xenon +120 for best output without reducing high beam performance.

Definitely would not recommend it. Even if you didn't blow a fuse, or melt your wiring, you risk melting your factory harness headlight connectors which is why the harness uses ceramic ones.

Not a brand that is known for lasting.

    Isn't that something...

The lower wattage bulbs (stock, if you will) are more expensive than the higher wattage, higher performing bulbs. o_O

High efficiency stock wattage performance bulbs are more challenging to design and manufacture than a standard high wattage bulb.

I haven’t tried removing the coating, but I have thought about it. The golden output has really grown on me though, it is less fatiguing on the eyes. Although the diffraction coating does deflect a very small percentage of light outside the pattern area and above the cut off, so it isn’t a perfect solution either. Good call on passing on the BDs, you see the new Rigid 360s?

Because I always like to compare lights, today for kicks I was comparing my measurements on the 3rd Gen $1250 Morimoto XB LED headlight assembly vs the Ultimate Headlight Upgrade:

    9E4056D2-F6E0-4547-8CB7-AC14126C756E.jpg

Needless to say the lux numbers are pretty compelling. But this actually sells the Hypers a bit short, as the voltage used was 13.8v (as measured at the headlight connector) when the harness increases the voltage to the bulbs over what is available at the OEM connector, which increases output by ~15%. On top of that, if you are running the voltage booster upgrade, further halogen output gains are recognized on top of the ~15% boost.

For those running the Superbrights instead:
    E1FB2B46-0B3A-4EC9-BCC4-C803509A4E00.jpg

Same caveats about selling the halogens short of their actual performance apply from above.
