Well, I had time to try out this suggestion yesterday but no luck. And after disconnecting the orange/black wire I just didn't have any fog lights.
I did find a bunch of wires T-tapped in to some wires near the fuse panel so I followed them to what I think was part of an old alarm system from a previous owner. Got rid of all that, but still no luck.
Perhaps I will just run the best stock wattage bulbs and call it good if I can't fix whatever problem is preventing this harness from working.

Thanks @Fly Skids Up! for the suggestion. It was worth a try, and gave me a chance to get rid of stuff that didn't need to be there.

Loving the upgrade. I did have a little scare when this popped off on the passenger side. Took me forever to figure out.

So.... almost 140 pages worth of this thread. Are the osram bilux h4 12v 100/90w still the hotness? I can’t find them anywhere to order. I found a bunch on eBay, but they say “Chinese made”? WTF?

Have these proven to be good and worth it? And these are direct replacement for gen 2 tacos?

I seem to have a not so great cut off on my passenger side headlight. Any ideas why?

You need the wiring harness as well, but otherwise yes they are a direct replacement. The IPF Fatboy bulbs have a little higher intensity on low beam, but they are ridiculously expensive and have only a stock high beam vs the high power high beam of the SuperBrights. Bulb life of the Fatboys is also not documented. As others have mentioned, Powerbulbs is where I recommend ordering from and linked in the original thread.

If you are having different cut offs left vs right, check that your bulb is seated correctly. You may be able to do this by looking through the front of the headlight with the lights off to see if it is seated and straight. Otherwise pull the rubber boot and use a cell phone to take a picture of the back of the bulb and look to see that all 3 tabs are positioned correctly. Due to the location it may be difficult to see directly.

The IPF Fatboys are the highest output without a harness, they are 60w high and 80w low. Otherwise see the other bulbs section of the thread, the Philips Racing vision are the highest output stock wattage bulb on low beam but the high beam is coated which reduces high beam performance. The GE Xenons are the highest performing stock wattage bulb that does not coat the high beam.

Appears to have fixed my problem! Thank you. I will double check on my way to work. I had messed with the bulb before but never completely unplugged the harness. The wiring harness seems to have been pulling the bulb out of the fitting, due to the damn windshield wash.

Thanks to @Fly Skids Up! for helping me figure out the problem I had with the wiring harness. I had to disconnect the green/black wire (-12V high beam interlock) from my aftermarket fog lights. Now I have the "Fog Light Anytime Mod" unintentionally but I guess that's alright.

    Thanks again @Fly Skids Up!
